The dispiriting thing about tonight’s “disgraceful” refereeing call is that it was needless. No foul play, no-one hurt - things World Rugby quite rightly are cracking down on. Unfortunately no amount of apologies will change the result. The Wallabies were excellent, esp Foley.

The Wallabies’ coaching structure in 2020 was the best it’s been in a long long time. Probably the best since Eddie Jones’ ‘03 World Cup runners up. That’s Raelene Castle’s major success. Hopefully Dave Rennie and his assistants stick together.

Marika Koroibete won’t take part in the spring tour. He’s stayed home for family reasons. Rugby Australia will be doing everything they can so Marika continues to play for the Wallabies. But conceivably has played his last Test. He’s played 42 Tests since debuting in 2017.
