Jeremy Corbyn on the easing of the lockdown: "people and health must come before private profit." In this instance, "private profit" refers to hundreds of thousands of small businesses, each desperate to survive and retain staff. What an insufferable arse that man is.

This is quite staggering. Corbyn's only possible defence could be that he didn't actually read the book. I would appear, however, from his fulsome praise, that he did read it - and lapped up every antisemitic trope it contains.

Remarkable graph on spending outstripping revenue from the new OBR report. Reality: taxes will need to rise significantly over the coming decades.

I think no-deal should be avoided. I think it would be economically damaging, complicated and with undoubted short-term difficulties. But... Royal family to be evacuated? Martial law? Food riots? A spike in heart-attack deaths? Give me a break.

Very excited about Corbyn's event tomorrow on 'what's holding back good journalism.' Who better to turn to for such helpful criticism than the man who told police 'he's bothering me' when asked a question by a reporter on the night he put his first shadow cabinet together?

On Newsnight in June of last year, David Steel described the abuse allegations against Cyril Smith as "tittle-tattle" and "scurrilous hearsay."

Extraordinary evidence at #IICSA today - Lord Steel admits that Cyril Smith confessed to him in 1979 that abuse allegations against him were true – but Steel still did nothing about it, & made no effort to investigate whether Smith posed any continuing risk to children.
