In my brief time as a church pastor I once drove a member of our church to an abortion clinic to have a termination. It was tragic. But it was the right thing to do, and I would do it again tomorrow if it was right. Life is much more complicated than some men seem to understand.

It takes around 3-4 years to bring a story like this to publication. One reason is that the CofE resists scrutiny at every turn. Note the use of NDAs in this case. I am aware of many similar scandals (as are the archbishops).They WILL come to light.

I’ve just presented The Daily Service on @BBCRadio4 . The best thing is that my mother-in-law, who is locked down in a care home, was able to listen and join in. Netflix will never do this for you, and a subscription BBC couldn’t do it. Cherish the BBC like we cherish the NHS.
