I had the privilege of firing a full 30-round mag from a Japanese Hotchkiss-derived HMG at the @WorldofWarships Hummer at @DemolitionRanch 's range day. As in the US, IJA cavalry at the time were not permitted 'tanks', so this MG could be found on the Type 92 "Heavy Armoured Car"

My civilian employer (which has a large office in Kyiv) has been running campaigns to aid Ukraine. A million dollars combined corporate and customer donations isn't bad going, a baker's dozen ambulances will make the difference for more than a few lives over the coming years.

As a Guard tanker I thought it unlikely I would ever wear the armor triangle. Then 49th went away and so it seemed that slim chance was zero. I got lucky. It was an honor to command this small group of @1stArmoredDiv troops and to wear the triangle for 3 years. Now to 36th ID.

A few years ago the Ontario Regiment Museum ran a large convoy to the Oshawa memorial for Remembrance Day. I TC'd an M60. Another large convoy this year. If you're around tomorrow, find me driving a TLAV near the back. May be worth the short drive from Toronto.

Here, have a squished Sherman. With the radial pulled out and replaced by a Cummins diesel, there was no longer a height requirement for the hull. However, the conversion was considered more trouble than it was worth, only the one M-50 Degem Yod (J) was made.

So in an inherently stable aircraft, letting go of the controls whilst screaming in panic has a good chance of allowing it to settle. It apparently does not work on this type of aircraft which I can only presume is not something God intended to fly.

It would make sense to take an un-used hull out of storage for the sake of a tech demonstrator. Seems to me that they took the MTU hull from 2013 and re-engined it. Has same high rear, odd sprocket & tail light housings. If so, I presume a purpose hybrid hull would look different
