Today we recognized Grace & Rose who came the aid of their grandfather after a medical event while swimming. The swift action of these young ladies who called 911 & performed CPR until paramedics arrived resulted in a life saved. Their actions cannot be understated,true heroes

Paramedics in Halton Region have been able to administer naloxone to patients for over 20 years. This month, in partnership with Halton Region Public Health and the Ontario Naloxone Program, we are now carrying naloxone kits for distribution to members of the public.

Today I was honoured to present paramedics Steve and Paul with a Chief’s Commendation Award for their brave actions in December that protected a person in crisis from serious harm. They did not hesitate to react when faced with an incredibly difficult situation.
