Disabled individuals are expected to work for their “keep” and every recommends that there are “jobs available at Walmart” but they don’t realize how those companies don’t hire disabled people because we can’t even due half the job description without a modification. (4/6)

@HijaDe2Madre literally at my partner’s graduation, their parents got upset with me because i sat in the accessible section (in my wheelchair btw) & not with them cause they were a group of 4 & only one other guest was allowed in the accessible section & it literally said so on the ticket info

This is a fun reminder that I’m not on/receiving any disability or unemployment help. The unemployment system in Illinois was (still is) a trash fire after I was laid off for the pandemic. I could never get through to service because the call was a 1000+ long waitlist.
