Initially I wanted to go with larger stylized tufts. I really liked how they look in profile. Move the camera and it doesn't really work as well. I think the messy flatter neck floof looks better overall and is better for a shep anyways. Probably gonna do the tail next.

When the Nokk was underwater, the Lighting team took inspiration from deep-sea vents to produce heat distortion. The team also had to balance dozen of layers within the Nokk to help create its watery appearance. #Frozen2

This shot is one of the first #Nokk to go into production. Also one of my personal favorites to work on. The final clip is my favorite early test, It's a great example of the tearing effect seen on the mane where the glass water sheet splits and merges. #Frozen2 #TechTuesday

The First character on #frozen2 I worked on was Gale. Gales rig is the blue color swooshing effects. Animators were able to animate a 'live' path and control noise shape and density. Then character FX and VFX artists were able to use the performance to drive simulation.
