As much as I love WACKY and nuanced facial expressions, few kinds get me as much as a GOOD grumpy glowering stare. When characters are just DONE with your shit.
Since it's Shark Week and I don't have a lot of new shark artwork of note I thought I'd share some old Street Sharks redesigns I did years ago! This was gonna be part of a bigger thing purely for fun with a group of good friends but we all got super busy at the same time! ^^;
Came across these Spyro's I drew back in 2018 when they announced the Reignited Trilogy, I was addicted to Shiyoon Kim's PS brushes and used them for almost everything XD
Tried to make some cat shark's out of Shurk, inspired by
@yoginnnnnn
, but he ended up becoming some weird bulldog creature, I honestly can't complain!
I cannot stand the Buttons and Mindy shorts from the first Animaniacs, they are just emotional torture for me.
I kinda see in my mind some kind of future where Mindy realizes everything all at once...
I think I'll leave it right here as it is! Man this was fun to animate and experiment with! Any time I get to draw/animate Toothless or anything HTTYD related is precious to me <3
Ok time to clear the air!
I actually was NOT behind the design of Benedict the dragon, the credit belongs to the incredible
@GenevieveTsai
one of my long time biggest inspirations! I am immensely flattered though! Here's a Benedict that I actually drew for fun!
A few more essential TV series with that soft, simple, and toyetic shape language and color palette that fills me with joy <3
1. Serendipity the Pink Dragon
2. Grimm's Fairy Tales(The Marriage of Mr. Fox)
3. Moomin
4. Dogtanion
remember in the early 90's when you could just meet up with your homie Sylvester and chill in the food court and you'd just ignore his spit shower and nasty fish stick breath cuz the stories he told were UNfrickinREAL XDDD
