ATTN DRIVERS: The parameters of the closure on U.S. 395 have changed. At the request of the CHP, the highway is now closed from Gorge Rd., about 17 miles north of Bishop, to Bridgeport. @Caltrans9 is also responding to a snow slide near Wilson Butte that is blocking the SB lanes.

UPDATE: U.S. 395 is still closed between Bishop and Mammoth Lakes due to whiteout conditions, but CHP and @Caltrans9 will begin escorting vehicles through the closure. Drivers need to keep their speed low when driving in an escort. This is only between Bishop and Mammoth for now.

Our maintenance crews are hard at work clearing snow from SR 120 W. They’ve nearly reached Saddlebag Lake Road near the eastern entrance to Yosemite. Crews are utilizing a grader and a bulldozer to push the snow into manageable piles for the blower to remove it from the road.
