Shadow of the Erdtree is, in my opinion, an improvement on what was already a 10/10 game.
I am shocked that most of the discourse is about the game being too hard. It seems like we all collectively need to learn the Margit lesson again. 🧵
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC returns to 'Mostly Positive' for a review score on Steam
After release it was listed as 'Mixed' due to the hard difficulty, and performance issues
It's been just under a week since Shadow of the Erdtree launched.
And we are now seeing the full new fromsoft game release cycle. It starts with "game too hard" because no one knows what the powerful weapons/strats are.
Now it's shifted into creators 1 shotting bosses with
There is literally only 4 required bosses to beat the game. If you're stuck on a boss, slamming your head against a wall, and getting frustrated it is almost certainly not required. And your time would be better spent exploring elsewhere and upgrading your character.
the "flow" for upgrading your character is a little different though. Scadutree fragments are the DLCs true progression system NOT RUNES. Your rune level matters much less than your Scadutree level. And fragments are sourced from EXPLORING the world not killing bosses.
Here's a couple more tips to help if you're still struggling:
1. 60 vigor means very little without enough endurance for good armor and defense talismans
2. choose 1 damage stat to invest into unless you're very high level, split scaling is a bait
3. Don't beat yourself up too
It's easy to get stuck in the mindset of "kill a minor boss to get stronger" because that's what the base game wanted you to do, but in the DLC it's "explore for churches, sparkling pot holders, and Miquella crosses to get stronger"
But that's kind of the point, the lesson that Margit should have taught all of us is that "rushing the obvious path forward will be substantially more difficult than taking your time, being thorough, and absorbing all of the content that the game has to offer"
Another important note about Scadutree fragments is that there is A LOT of them. It will be incredibly difficult to beat the DLC if you're only doing the "main path". I would go so far to say that most players won't be able to beat the DLC without having fully explored the map.
@GinoMachino
wouldn't be a fromsoft release without a mandatory NPC fight that is trying it's best to distill the taste of putrid ass into video game form.
Some people have been asking what it would look like if I beat Elden Ring without restricting myself.
So I’m thinking maybe a speedrun? Would you guys be interested in a video documenting my speedrun journey?
What are those red filaments in the sky?
They are a rarely seen form of lightning confirmed only about 30 years ago: red sprites. This image was taken from Las Campanas observatory in Chile

I'm beating elden ring with all my attributes at level 0 (level -79 overall) without upgrading my weapons.
Because my damage is so low I had to use this ridiculous strat for the ancestral spirit because otherwise he would heal too much.
I'm in a really weird spot with streaming right now.
Twitch keeps making frustrating changes that are pushing me away, and YouTube is higher viewership (and frankly, higher revenue largely due to the much better ad implementation. I had 1 stream make a months worth of twitch

The Cintrian Knight is a conditional 6 for 4 that will probably see a lot of play as a very efficient low provision card. Will you be playing it in your new NR decks?

We hope you look forward to new adventures in the Lands Between.
Finished Lies of P last night, and the game is very good. If you told me that from software made the game, I would believe you. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who considers themselves a souls fan, but it’s not perfect.
Here’s a couple of critiques from my experience.
Any artists/graphic designers that watch my streams or YouTube videos?
I want to commission you. Please only respond if you do watch my content. I’m only looking for someone who understands my community.
I just finished Elden Ring fog gate randomizer...
Without fast traveling.
So I had to map out everything to be able to navigate through the world. This is what that looked like.
If a content producer is concerned about “TikTok attention spans” on anything other than TikTok, they’re an idiot.
And they certainly don’t deserve a job producing anything that’s supposed to be entertaining.

so many people complain about inconsequential non sense like how Nilfgaardian armor looks bad in the witcher netflix series.
how entitled do you have to be to not realize the real problems in the world, like geralt not playing a single game of gwent in the entire first season.
I need to take a break from streaming. At least streaming Gwent, I'm so burnt out that anything other than winning just kills my motivation. I don't feel the same way with YouTube mostly because it's signifacantly less time, but I won't be streaming for a couple days at least.
I know I shitpost alot, but for real:
I'm so fucking proud of

Also I beat him in 2 tournaments 2 years ago, so where's my masters spot? 😊
Twitch CEO Dan Clancy emailed Gothalion about potential plans to tackle creators embedding their streams to increase view count. He is seeking a list from Gothalion of "Worst offenders."
Twitch CEO Dan Clancy has just announced that creators can stream anywhere they want concurrently. No more simulcasting rules limiting to mobile-first platforms.

I like this new strategy by twitch. Just gaslight until streamers like the platform.
Here’s a couple more ideas for you:
“We didn’t lower your sub splits”
“We didn’t take away your ability to monetize your content”
“We didn’t try to implement predatory policies on our creators”

Elden Ring is getting the internet pendulum effect. It was reviewed as one of the best games ever, so now every one with even the smallest problem with the game has to express just how dogshit it is.
You’re telling me that a patch that
1. Hardly did anything to the game
2. Was delayed due to a “game breaking bug”
3. Is also the start of a competitive season
Still implemented a game breaking bug that auto forfeits on some card plays?
CDPR, what is you doin’?
When I first started, I isolated myself from all of my peers and friends because it was seen as something to be made fun of.
After finding success, I have since reconnected with all of those friends, but I have no doubt I would have quit early on if not for separating myself.
Content Creators,
has someone you know irl ever made fun of you or tried to discourage you because you make content online?
almost positive everyone will say Yes
please reply if u have a second
So much debate and animosity about February’s game of the month Elden Ring vs. Horizon Forbidden West. But it’s literally impossible that an individual could play and evaluate these games in this timeframe. All y’all really just played 1 game and assume it’s better than the other
My friend
@Ainrun_ttv
and I beat Elden Ring in co-op without taking a single hit. Here's what I learned.
Firstly, what exactly is a hitless run?
It means, the entire game must be completed consecutively without using glitches while never taking damage or stagger from enemies and
Finally got around to playing the lies of p demo and…
It’s pretty cool, probably gonna mess around in the demo a little bit more and very excited to play the full game.
Tomorrow I am going to attempt to reach pro rank in Gwent in world record time.
The current record is 19 hours and 4 minutes by kusokstula.
starting Tomorrow at 1 AM Poland time / 7 PM EST.
when it comes to competitive potential I feel like gwent is in a strong spot right now. It seems very skill based
Homecoming has come up short in this aspect for most of its history.
What do you think? I might just be feeling this way because I'm not really competitve anymore.
My time at

Yesterday, my house was very close to the boulder county grass fire. Evacuation was looking pretty likely, but fortunately that did not happen. I did however stay up all night waiting for an evacuation order, so I'm gonna take the day off. Much love.
