Jumbotron showed Chychrun highlights during the commercial timeout and then panned to him. Crowd cheers. Søgaard lets him know he was live, and Chychrun smiled, then started waving his arms for more noise. Senator for life.
No matter how much Anderson struggles, I find it hard to criticize him. Best goalie the Sens have ever had. Stands up for teammates like that. Beats the Leafs. I'm content with him riding out his contract with us.
"We're much better away from the puck, we don't give as many odd-man rushes because we have a more responsible high guy in the zone. When everyone does it together the results are better."

What I really like about the trade is we're likely keeping Forsberg now. He's been such a likeable player on the team and would love to see if he can bounce back next season after all these injuries.
Lmao Sens brought back the Sparty skit videos during intermission. This one had him watching Leafs All Or Nothing and fastforwarding and rewatching the comeback game with a Leafs fan.
"The Senators are hopeful Stepan can play in their top six..." "The Senators are hopeful Del Zotto can play in their top four..." "The Senators are hopeful Murray can be their starting goalie..." "The Senators are hopeful..."
From Garrioch's latest:
"The Senators are hopeful Hamonic can play in their top four and there’s a sense he may a be a good candidate to play with top prospect Jake Sanderson, who is expected to leave the University of North Dakota next month to sign here."
Brian was the best of Sens Twitter. I don't think I ever saw the kid be negative. Even at his lows he was still looking out for everyone else, and always at the bright side of life. No matter what he's always going to be part of our community and beyond. He left quite the impact.
Via Reddit. Pretty cool by Søgaard to take the time given he was the starting goalie. Knowing goalies, most usually want to stay fully concentrated during warmup.
Marion Stützle placed a motto on her son’s dresser.
“Keep your eyes on the stars. And your feet on the ground.”
It’s sage advice, as Tim Stützle starts the richest contract in Sens history.
A trip to Germany helped me to understand what makes him tick.
Senators head coach D.J. Smith got a hug from owner Michael Andlauer after Ottawa's 6-3 victory over the Maple Leafs.
"Not easy," Smith, down three injured defencemen, said of the last few weeks. "But it is what it is. It's the NHL, it's the best league in the world."

Goaltender Mads Sogaard will also be joining the team for its trip to Sweden under third goalie exemption status (for NHL games outside of North America).
Looks like someone on TikTok managed to record it. Definitely a staged prank by some Leafs fans. Gotta wonder if that stops the Sens from ever doing public proposals on the jumbotron now...
Some "fans" just played the Sens I think lol. Proposal cam, and while the guy in a Sens uni was on one knee the guy beside them in a Leafs uni grabbed the girl and made out with her? Very strange and was quickly cut off to the next segment on the jumbotron.
Chabot used pride tape in the actual game in 2019. Nothing would make me happier than seeing any of the Sens just defy the NHL rules and use the tape on Pride Night. NHL can't help but embarrass themselves. Have to imagine they'll reverse course on that decision soon.
