Thurs 1st March - School closed. Due to the freezing conditions and the forecast of further heavy snow throughout the day, we have decided to close the School today, to ensure the safety of our pupils and staff. Teachers will post work on Google Classroom
Despite the national trend suggesting the top GCSE ‘9’ grade was fairly unobtainable (only 4% of pupils nationally achieved one) 18% of our pupils received 9s in those subjects graded in the new way. 29 students received all A*As / 9-7s
Act of Remembrance is Family Affair: Student Annabelle Hill marched in the town's parade with grandfather, Victor Walker, a 94-year-old Normandy Veteran. 5th Yr Annabelle marched with the School’s CCF Navy section while Mr Walker took his place among the handful of veterans.
Chess Captain Nina has earned the title of Women's Candidate Master, an official lifetime achievement awarded by

Our VSA ask parents collecting pupils from the School car park to please turn off their engines. They estimate there are 50 cars in the car park & if everyone turns off their engines for 10 mins while waiting, it would save 22.7kg of CO2 being released into the atmosphere!
