The more you breathe (at rest), the less oxygen is reaching your cells. Doesn't matter how oxygen rich your blood is - saturation remains ~95%-99% unless you hold your breath or hyperventilate - it's CO2 that regulates the transfer of oxygen from the blood to the tissues.

Quick anti-anxiety trick: Exhale and hold your breath for 5s (or less if itโ€™s too much) Release and continue breathing normally for 10s-15s Repeat 6 times. It takes a couple of minutes but it grounds you immediately. Use it liberally if you're having a stressful day.

Don't use music or white noise Upright posture, knees lower than hips Stay absolutely still Focus on the breath but don't focus on your nose Abdominal breathing, your shoulders shouldn't rise 20 minutes. Less than 15 and you won't even have a chance to relax if you're a beginner
