Andor:
This is the most lived in Star Wars has ever looked. Every scene feels like a real place. Not a sound stage, not the Volume, but the inside of a home, a bar, a scrap yard. Every project from Star Wars should be striving for this
So let's be honest here, people: We don't need a Season 2 of The Acolyte. The season we got was not good, and it caused a gargantuan amount of problems for the Star Wars franchise...
While I understand the
#RenewTheAcolyte
thing from some people who liked it, the truth is that
This is what Star Wars prestige television looks like. Strong characters, excellent pacing, no wasted time, and season spanning story where every episode satisfies and leaves you wanting more, while not making you feel short changed.
Rogue One isn't a masterpiece. It's got some issues, specifically with the first half(ish) of the movie, but it's still very, very good. Andor is head and shoulders above most of what Disney has produced for Star Wars.
Episode 3:
This show is just a fucking rocket ship. Coming back to flashbacks, I learned everything I needed to know about Cassian and Maarva's relationship in such a short period of time. And THE MUSIC! Gods it's good to feel something again
Also. This is how you do flashbacks. The way The Acolyte handled their flashbacks as entire episodes, the first of which plagued by unreliable narrator, was a big problem for me. This is effective, interesting, and actually helps reveal more of who Cassian is

You managed to be homophobic, transphobic, and in denial of peer reviewed medical research, all in one sentence. Incredible stuff
I mentioned this before, but the production value and set design are second to none. This is a galaxy, not a set, not a sound stage. Every location we visit feels lived in and real, from an ugly colorless Imperial prison to the vibrant, dirty streets of Ferrix.

Nah, frying an animal alive but in a way that keeps it alive for a half hour so you can eat its flesh and watch it gasp until it dies is evil. I'm down with eating fish, but kill it first. This is torturing an animal for personal pleasure.
Giving us a look at the bureaucracy of evil was incredible. We got to know Dedra and Syril as people and understand their motivations. I hope we're getting more of them in season two.
I love Stellan Skarsgård. Luthan was such an incredibly nuanced and multifaceted character and Stellan absolutely nailed it. Light when he needed to be, grim and serious when the moment called for it. And his ship is one of the coolest we've seen in Star Wars.
Cassian is such an incredible character. Watching him discover the man underneath his pain and loss to move past his selfishness and become the man we see in Rogue One was inspiring as hell and I can't wait for more.

Netflix: Still most recognizable name in streaming
NFL: Still biggest sport in the US
Carhartt: Still most recognizable name in work clothing
None of them seem to be very broke
Bee was an absolute treasure. Just an old man droid doing his best. He didn't want to be left out, but just didn't have it in him anymore to be as involved and it was clear that it sucked for him a lot. I almost yelled at my screen when that fucker tipped him over.
I've seen some people saying the pacing sucks and there's tons of filler. My favorite movie is There Will Be Blood. You'll never convince me this show is "slow"
I'm very fortunate that I work from home and have a job that gives me the ability to be productive while watching things like this and while I wish I hadn't slept on it for so long, I'm glad I was able to share this experience with the people I've met here on

Well shit. My follower count has essentially doubled since yesterday! Hi! I'm Steeb. I like sci-fi and fantasy stuff. Andor was an incredible experience yesterday, and I'm looking forward to enjoying season two with all of you when it comes out.

I feel like giving us a two episodes premiere, a week off and then stopping the story dead to go 16 years back in time just to make us wait another week was a real momentum killer for the show. I almost quit after that
@DonaldJTrumpJr
Imagine making light of an attempt to overthrow our democracy while the house is currently held hostage by supporters of the movement that led to it. Remarkable stuff. You literally make our argument for us
Andor - Episode 6: (Repost because I said it was episode 5)
Top tier heist episode for a show. Incredible stuff. My Galaxy watch thought I was working out. I keep seeing people say it gets better. What's the fucking ceiling on this show?

You have worked at a carpentry business for a long time and are very skilled. It's struggling. Someone with no knowledge of the field buys it, fires half of your co-workers and demands you work harder.
Work hard or quit?

"I've had so few friendships with women that I haven't seen one" is very different than "there aren't very many of you"
My guess is that you've had very few relationships with women outside of your family that weren't based on a romantic relationship
@KariLake
Ah, so you're moving on from your loss in Arizona to try to ride Trump's coattails to the White House as his VP? It's going to be fun as hell to watch you lose again

People mistake Cage's want to have fun with his inability to act. Dude has incredible range. When a role truly speaks to him, he's a virtuoso. Otherwise, he's just there to party

It's crazy to think that even in the 00s, saying something this openly homophobic in a public setting as an elected official would have your signed resignation by the end of business

There's so much I want to know about this character. The need in his voice when he says he wants a pupil. "I've accepted my darkness. What have you done with yours?" gave me chills
