Welcome to my page! I'm an artist, animal educator, and aspiring evolutionary biologist! I keep many advanced animals, many of which I DO NOT suggest people keep as pets.
⚠️Proship, Pedo/Zoophiles, and feral NSFW DNI⚠️
GUYS STARBUCKS UNIRONICALLY PUT THE ATLA WATER TRIBE SYMBOL ON A NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH POSTER 💀💀💀
Tell me you didn't pay indigenous people to create the art or check it out before launch without actually saying it challenge winners for this year
"Foxes are domesticating themselves blah blah blah"
Nah, they aren't. But here's an animal that did! Cellar spiders are adapted to live in human dwellings, and don't really survive outside anymore.
Racoon furries, please for the love of fuck remember that using the last four letters of that word is a racial slur and not just a cute lil nickname for the animal.
DON'T PET PARROTS ON THE WINGS, TAIL, BACK, OR CHEST!!! This is sexual grooming to them and will literally sexually frustrate your bird. They will become behaviorally aggressive, harm themselves, and can become chronic masturbaters. They will literally do it until they BLEED.
I'm rabid about this Hydrosaurus celebensis someone in Indonesia has...
I would do literally *anything* to get a DNA sample from this mf and maybe also some of his kids PLEASE
I think I just found the single most unhinged image I've ever seen in my life
I'm pretty sure those are death adders mating in his hand???? Shirtless?? The way he's looking at the camera??? HELLO???
Great way for them to show how little they actually care about indigenous people that were forced from their homes, whether it be here in the USA or abroad in Palestine.
I JUST LEARED THERE'S DWARF CROCODILES??? EVOLVING TO LIVE IN CAVES IN GABON???? LOOK AT THE COLOR DIFFERENCE??
Normal specimen is mostly brown, the cave ones, esp adults, have a lot of bright orange/gold
BOYCOTT STBX, GO TO A LOCALLY OWNED CAFE. ITS CHEAPER, BETTER AND THE MONEY GOES TO ACTUAL PEOPLE.
The owner of my local cafe is going through cancer treatment so Ik it's supporting him, and I get a 40oz personal cup filled for the price of a tall at stbx
Someone apparently owns this turtle privately (which I hate lmao) but meet one of the prettiest turtles ever! This is a Burmese roofed turtle, thought to have been extinct and rediscovered in 2002, with only 10 adults known by 2018. ~1000 of them existed in 5 zoos in 2018
Ignorance is bliss with animal content... The more knowledgeable you are, the more you see the damage to the animals you've formed a deep understanding of. It's irreversible and animal content on the internet is never the same.
Remember friends, the most dangerous animal content isn't the stuff that's obviously harming animals. It's the content that is made to look cute and harmless but in reality is unsafe, stressful, and misinterprets the animals body language/behavior.
Please rt the hell outta this guy's I'm so serious. We're making progress on finding housing but the whole situation is still very sketchy. His roommate is on a very steep downward spiral and is a danger to others.
❌EMERGENCY EVACUATION NEEDED❌
TLDR; roommate violently beat a friend of ours he was seeing. Broke windows, shattered door frame, left her with substantial injuries, and held a shot gun to her chest. Threatened my animals is trying to kick me out.
Friendly tip for artists since I see it so often!
I see a ton of artwork where a snakes tongue is coming out of its glottis, which is the hole they breathe out of! The tongue actually comes out of a hole in front of the glottis!
I'm not lucky enough to have cellar spiders in my own home but I do have these guys!! They live similar lifestyles to wolf spiders (which I also have, last image) and are also harmless. They look like they got Fancy Clothes on
Since this post is getting a lot of attention: If you are of Navajo/Dine (or similarly influenced culture) and are willing to discuss the cultural influence and relationship with the Gila monster I would LOVE to hear that info directly from a reliable source!!
I would also like to say that yes, this is mildly uncomfortable information, but it's something that bird owners should know.
Things like this can be hard to come by when researching a pet. My best advice is to ALWAYS look up information from different sources and REACH OUT!
If you're in Colorado please don't support this business. They claim they were hacked but from what I gathered from the comments this is a repeated occurrence. Seems more like he keeps forgetting to log into his private account.
And yes, the male in the middle two photos is trying to get in w the tarantulas I was rehousing. Naughty Boy, that is not a female of your species.
Or maybe he wanted me to take care of him too lmao (jk)
@zenophelion
As someone who has worked with crocodilians: you're absolutely correct. These people handle their crocodilians completely improperly in every video I've seen from them.
For farther enlightenment; POC were also compared to and actually called raccoons, and not just the shortened version. Because there's an inherent tie there, it's still racist to use the shorthand c**n. We haven't moved past not using it as a slur as a society so just don't
@SatanGoat
A lot of the POC I met/talked to feel otherwise, and since they're the ones who have this slur aimed at them the most I'm gonna take their word for it.
@HuitzilinF_Art
Where I did paleo work, Paleo and native American sites overlap a lot. Some tribes even used Phytosaur teeth as medicine. They were well aware of the fossils around them and had their own explanations for what they were.
@Faunacat
So ironic that we celebrate our country in a way that specifically traumatizes those who have fought for it
Drone shows are becoming more and more popular, I hope that trend continues
@CpgSthlm
Artists and paleontologists have always had an important relationship with each other. AI imagery that not only steals from artists, but is also simultaneously using massive amounts of power to generate those images. You are spitting on both artists and our planet
Working with crocodilians is extremely dangerous and potentially lethal. Any species, once at the 6ft mark, can take your leg off.
They're smarter than you'd think but their brains are NOT rigged anything like a mammals. They. Are. Not. Dogs.
Pet stores won't typically give you good care information. At the end of their day, the goal is to sell animals. They make the care seem easier so the animals are more alluring to people walking through. ALWAYS avoid advice from pet stores!
They arrested the bastard that stole two endangered baby Galapagos tortoises from the St. Augustine reptile farm!!! He killed one and it was in his freezer 😭 the other is still alive!
PLEASE BE SAFE WHEN SPEAKING OUT AGAINST OUTDOOR CATS!!
As much as it's an extremely important topic to educate on and discuss, people WILL harass you (or worse) for it.
Please prioritize your own mental health and safety over these kinds of discussions.
Exotics keepers and animal parents like myself are ALWAYS willing to help give good advice from experience! If you keep getting contradictory information and want to check? Ask someone who owns them!
⚠️TW ANIMAL DEATH⚠️
Florida's FWC is out of control. A private keeper with permits, who was complying with rehoming animals that were recently made illegal, had his animals killed in front of him!! One was a gravid boa that is NOT illegal to own even with new laws
Also sorry to break the bad news on this one guys, I know it's going to be hard: Reptile morphs are unethical. Selectively breeding for recessive traits, and compounding them with other recessive traits, is not conducive to stable genetics and healthy animals.
Just so we're clear:
Domesticated animals are genetically different from their wild relatives. Pigs, chickens, cats, and dogs are examples of this.
A domesticated animal that is forced to rely on its instincts and fend for itself is feral. One that is not, is called tame.
@NovaStarpaws
Yes. And you shouldn't ever touch a bird like that. Birds are extremely intelligent and complex animals. A lot of chain pet stores try to push that they're easy to care for, when they're far from easy.
Hot take but the dude that danced naked and assaulted a con staff member should be sued by the con staff. The fact I haven't seen jack abt him facing literally any consequences speaks volumes as to how much the con cares about their employees.
Kr00bs responding with "I grew up" to someone asking why they changed their stance on feral p0rn 💀💀💀
Becoming desensitized to paraphilic content isn't "growing up" lmao I'm???
Alright, I've put this off for far too long and I really just want to be able to move on with my life.
I've been waiting on a refund for a suit from @/OmuMacaw for about 4 years now. I'm an extremely patient person but I can't just sit around and wait anymore.
@ThornTheFennec
@mantismangos
The African grey I've worked with very firmly says "don't" or "stop it" if anyone tries to pet him anywhere but the head.
To make a long explanation short: arachnid legs work on a hydraulic system and use hydraulic pressure to extend their legs. They only have a tendon to retract their legs, which is why they curl up when they've died.
I've had to intentionally distance myself from animal content online because it just hurts too much to see now. Fighting the endless misinformation seems so futile. You have to learn where to focus that energy and where it's not wasted or you just get emotionally burnt out.
Servals are wild animals, they cannot be domesticated or tame, only *Habituated* to human contact.
Also, if you can't own a dangerous animal without mutilating it to make it "safe" (declawing, defanging, ect) you shouldn't have that animal.
When we think of littering and pollution, we usually only think of how it affects birds and mammals. However, reptiles and other animals are just as likely to fall victim to the trash we leave. Ex monitor lizards getting their heads stuck in cans
PSA: If you regularly interact positively with, sympathize with, or are a n
@zi
and refuse to leave my space, I may be disabled and I may not fight well, but my cane will be interacting with some choice features of your anatomy.
You guys know I've been wanting a Gila for a while... well unfortunately, the breeder I was hoping to purchase from just recently passed away and some friends are rehoming them.
A bit earlier than I was planning to get one... but I didn't want to miss out on one of his animals.
Ooo Hydrosaurus content popping off hell yeah!!!
I currently am working with a 1.1.1. of Hydrosaurus weberi, and involved with a captive breeding program w other biologists/zoologists! If you want to learn more about these underappreciated lizards follow me! I post abt them a lot
I'm suspicious it's an integrade (hybrid) or a locality that only the locals are currently aware of. Both are extremely possible and could even be a combination.
The fact they're stating that we have a solid scientific understanding of domestication to do this says everything. We do not. The process of domestication is still very murky and convoluted. We don't understand all the mechanisms involved yet.
For reference this is what a typical H celebensis (1st image) looks like. I've only seen a handful of them with the green coloration (second image) but even compared to those this lizard is different.
FREE NEW CALEDONIA FROM COLONIALISM!!! 🇳🇨
If you love New Caledonian reptile species please look into what's going on there!!! Crested geckos are from there and are ENDANGERED in their native range! This will be beneficial for all local wildlife AND people!!!
Muting this thread, I can't keep track of all the notifs/comments anymore. I want to just say thanks to all the POC who have taken time to give their take on this and realistically should be the ones at the lead of this conversation, not me. Just wanted to bring awareness!
The amount of repeated ableist and classist takes I just read in such a short period of time is shocking. You can critique someone's communication skills without dragging in things like how someone manages their disability.
THIS is why it's so important to only pet parrots on their heads/feet and nowhere else, except for desensitization training for vet visits. That should be the only time you pet anywhere else on your bird, esp for species prone to being super hormonal like eclectus and cockatoos
Sparing all of you the graphic part of this job. Just cleaned off this dudes severe case of poopy butt caused by his prolapse, then stuck my gloved, vasolined finger up his cloaca to try and get it to stay. It did not. Oh well, he’s clean now and I tried. He was a good sport.
Oh my God please
People we don't need to make more of these so they can be kept as pets, it would be like wolfdogs but worse.
It's cool to find that this has occurred but let's not try to make this another wolfdogs/bangal cat
You know a tweet is good when zoophiles and racists start trying to insult me in the comments. You guys insult yourselves just by existing so nothing you can say will really get to me tbh. Have fun being a POS <3
Gonna add some Cool Reptile Factes here:
Reptiles like rattlesnakes are the only animals that COMPLETELY ELIMINATE rabies from an ecosystem. They cannot carry or be infected with it, so if they eat something with rabies it's GONE and can't be spread anymore!
Since people are talking about rabies, here’s sobering fact: 36% of rabies deaths (to put that in perspective that’s 18,000-20,000 people) occur in India as the prevalence of rabid animals has been linked with the monumental decline of several vulture species.
VIDEOS LIKE THIS ARE DANGEROUS! DO NOT HANDLE ANIMALS LIKE THIS JFC
apparently the dude has also been racist to other people in the science community so...
Took down the old post and re-uploading this, it was weighing on my mind.
Some gift art for the amazing BIPOC people in our fandom. I love you guys, thank you for making our fandom more diverse and inclusive.

If ANYONE finds an isopod like this separate it from your colony! If you preserve it I'll pay you to send it to me bc I've been DYING to have an iridovirus isopod specimen
Im so glad everyone is sharing their love for isopods and inverts! But I’d like to mention a bit of a downer:
isopods do not unfortunately come in this shade of blue. The individual on the left here is infected with iridovirus, a parasite transmitted disease-
If you're white, you need to stfu and LISTEN to indigenous people when they say to stop doing something bc it's insulting to their culture. We've been fucking w their traditions for hundreds of years can we please just leave them tf alone???
@teeboyystar
To clarify: I don't mean hate the wolf dogs themselves, I mean hate the people that breed them and/or endorse people keeping them like a household pet. Breeding should be outlawed and the remaining wolf-dog hybrids should be kept at sanctuaries, not in homes.
Here's some good Weird Pet™️ alternatives that can be beginner friendly:
-Tarantulas
-Cockroaches (over 4000 species, only 7 are considered pests, some are SUPER colorful)
-Millipedes/Isopods (also a lot of species with a ton of different colors)
I am, however, gonna make an FYI list of animals I generally don't think make good pets;
- Chinchillas
- Meerkats
- Prairie dogs
- Gliders
- Primates
- Genets
- Axolotls
- Wild cats
- Opossums
- Kinkajous
- Raccoons
- Sables
- Foxes
- Hedgehogs
- Most parrots
- Owls
- Iguanas
