Whoop whoop, I’ve just had my 6 monthly Leukaemia results and my white cells have lowered slightly, which is a great result🤞. I was DX with cancer in 2012, yet amazingly, with my CLL disease, I have not had the need for any treatment. My cancer is classed as indolent (lazy)👍👍.

It’s great to see a racecourse using their brains👍. They are not standing still and watching attendances drop they are actually encouraging new and old racegoers a chance to watch exciting racing, for a fraction of the cost other tracks are charging. An excellent initiative 👏👏

@mrdanwalker I was a bookie there dealing with hundreds of punters. I’ve not known any other bookie, punter or staff contact me to say they had caught it there. Total red herring. I bet you have used public transport since early March. A lot higher chance of infection in confined areas.👎👎

A very, very sad tweet for me this one. My father in law has just passed away. Mike clerked for me a lot at the racecourses, he loved his wife, his family and he loved his whiskey🥃. He is now at rest with his wife Pamela who also sadly passed away a few years ago. RIP Mike😢😢

I should be working today at my local track, Chester. As we all know there was a concert, indoors, with a crowd of 5000 in attendance, only 20 miles away in Liverpool and at the same time an indoor crowd of 1000 at the Crucible, yet we can’t have an outdoor crowd at the Roodee?🤷‍♂️

There are only 12 bookies allowed to stand at the Royal meeting. @Ascot are expecting a crowd of 4,000 people per day. Of these 12 bookies, one firm has 5 pitches (yes 5!) and another one has 2. I think we need to hear the Claxon, don’t you🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️? #stewardsenquirystewardsenquiry

On my way home after attending Perth’s, 3 day festival of favs😢. To give you an idea of how bad it was, one guy took 15k off me on the last 3 races. He entered the track looking like Mr Bean and walked off looking like the Michelin man🤷‍♂️😅😅. Until we do battle again sir 👍👍

I have to say todays finishes at Haydock were probably the best I’ve seen in jump racing. Terrific racing over proper fences and a great crowd. Well done @haydockraces for putting on a super show and letting racegoers circulate throughout the ring with a pint in their hands!👍👍

How can you knowingly @GamRegGB set an oncourse bookie up, by sending in a sixteen year old to bet at Royal Ascot (surely illegal forcing a youngster to gamble?) and then enforceing a ridiculous fine of 2.5% gross👎👎??. Entrapment to the highest degree. A TOTAL DISGRACE👎👎👎

Great initiative from Warwick today charging only a fiver to get in. [Bookies badge a very fair £25.00] They have been rewarded with a good size crowd who are betting with the bookies, buying burgers and having a good time. The only outlet with a 'sale' on is the icecream man!😂

There was some great Xmas spirit in the ring today @KelsoRacecourse . My neighbour, Billy Morton had fat finger syndrome and accidentally printed out £45 each way, the winner in the last (33/1). The punter returned the slip 10 mins later and told Billy he had made a rick👍👍.

I would love to betting on my old haunt,namely the Hill at Epsom, for the next 2 days. Sadly the greedy management have made it a Dutch auction and hence some bookies are paying over £2000 to bet….We used to pay £100🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. Myself and many other bookies will not be held to ransom.

My oh my, what a difference an exchange meltdown creates. Business today at Bangor today was very good and the very nature that betfair imploded meant that some bookies actually had to grow some bollox and stand a few! I will highly recommend the book ‘of mice to men’ to them!😲

Ole, for what it’s worth, I got beat 5-2 today🥲. My last four games, I’ve lost 4-2 to Ludlow, 6-1 Cheltenham away, 4-3 Cheltenham home (good game😅) and got stuffed today 6-1 against a very good, well handicapped Aintree outfit. Hopefully Bangor put out a weak side on Tuesday😅

It’s been 10 years since I lost my dad to CJD. This was post I wrote on Jan 5th 2010 and has just popped up on my Facebook timeline....‘I’ve Just been in to see my dad today, at the hospice. Gave him a brandy through his tube!! Happy birthday dad!’😢😢😢

A guy had a grand on Disputed at 6/1, gave me a £1,000 in a bank sealed clear envelope. Put it straight into @my pocket. It won R4 35p. Total 4900, counted out 3900 and gave him his envelope back. His friend counted it and claimed only 740 in it. I never touched the envelope🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Don’t you just hate it when you get a phone call to say a family relative has passed away😱. After losing my mum, in my teens, I turned up, totally out of the blue at my Aunt Cynthias door. She welcomed me in and put me up for a number of months. She treated me like a son. 😪😥

I have to say that pound for pound this has to be the best value hotel I’ve stayed in. The 5 star Pestana Carlton in Madeira is different class. We’ve paid £264 (Wilson and I🤭🤭🤣🤣!!)for 4 nights, the flights with @easyJet were £140 for 2. Superb value👍👍

Fair play to the NHS👍. It’s not a text I would have liked to receive yesterday however, but it certainly drums home how dangerous this Corona virus could be. With my current health situation it’s more important than ever for me to self isolate and ride this uncertain storm.🤞🤞

Wouldn’t it be great to have a race meeting just using all the old equipment and the use of tic tacs. Any bookie not using a chalk board, book and tickets would be asked to leave the track!😲🤔🤔👍 #goodolddays

I’ve just noticed it’s #WorldCancerDay . I feel blessed that my Leukaemia diagnosis eight year ago, has not manifested too badly. #indolent 🤞😇
