A magnificent win in the SBA Midweek league final today. Bonymaen 68 Victoria Saints 51. The rink scores irrelevant. I have a huge number of photos, I've dumped them all on Facebook! Now, all we need to do is finish the season by securing our first division status!

Debut making Tom Brooks played on the winning rink and he played excellently. He even played the killer bowl on the last end to seal the win. The selectors wisely put Tom second behind his father so that he could carry him all night! Well done Tom 👍🏻👍🏻

Good news, our league season is up and running. Oystermouth 48 Bonymaen 64 @DanAmos97 ably supported by @amoscraig won 21-12 Rhidian Clement's rink won 20-15, having been 1-9 and 7-13 behind Paul Brooks' rink (mine) were always ahead and just won 23-21.

We are deeply saddened to report that Mrs Susan Clement (wife of Wyndham one of our longest serving members) passed away this morning. Susan was a wonderful lady, always smiling and a fine bowls tourist on many trips. All our love to Wyndham and all the family ❤❤😪😪❤❤

So, I'm a bit deflated to say that we fell short on the last end again against @vicsaintsbc . Victoria 58 Bonymaen 56. We had 2 brilliant winning rinks, Allan Slattery's rink won 23-14 and Rhidian Clement's rink won 28-14. Sadly, Dan Amos' rink went down 5-30!! 7-5 on points!!

A great win today. Bonymaen 76 Dunvant 50, 9 points to 3. Dan Amos' rink played superbly and won 35-10 Allan Slattery's rink also played well and won 27-15 Rhidian Clement's rink held on and minimised the damage after being 13-0 down early, they eventually lost 14-25. WHAT A TEAM

We'll be having our first practice session tomorrow evening at Jersey Park, weather permitting. This is ahead of our first "home" league match on Friday at Jersey Park against...... Jersey!

A brilliant win for myself (Paul Brooks), Rhidian Clement (subbing for the holidaying @amoscraig ) and @DanAmos97 this morning in the SBA open triples semi-final. We defeated a Parc Llewelyn triple 19-4. They conceded after only 12 ends of the 18 end match, somewhat surprising!

Great news tonight as club Captain @philipclement17 announced his choice as Vice-captain and it was Sian Clement-Wake 👌👌 So, Sian is our first female vice-captain and will go on to be our first female captain in 2025 👍🏻👍🏻 Well done Sian

After an epic contest that lasted over 3 hours and 30 ends Tom just missed out on a place in the final. Well done to Jack Thomas of @PontrhydyfenBC and good luck in the final. Final score was 21-19 to Jack 👏👏👏👌👍🏻💪 The standard of play was absolutely superb 👍🏻

Good win tonight against Tawe who won the Midweek Cup last year, first round exit this! Bonymaen 58 Tawe 40, Allan Slattery's rink did the damage with a 28-8 win and was well supported by Craig's rink that won 18-15. Paul Brooks' lost again 12-17! Drop him!!

Welsh government advice might soon allow some bowls along the English and Scottish models. Some members of our team telling me they could easily comply with the 2 metre social distancing rules now. I would agree, they weren't within 2 metres of the jack all last season.

First practice at our green. It had been rolled and cut low. Pace was OK and bowls were running smoothly. We will play on it for the rest of the season. Morriston United home in the league Saturday, team announced tomorrow (Radio Wales, 12 noon). 21 available so 9 reserves!!
