Does anyone else feel impending doom or is it just me? It’s so hard to get up to work every day. Im thinking, is this really how I’m going to spend my last days on earth!?!?! I want goals again, I want a plan and right now I don’t have one.

@elonmusk
My entire R family is voting D in Texas. They are sick of the Texas Taliban trying to rule women! Once Greg is out they’ll go back to being a R im sure. But they will not let him win. They say the people in their group feel the same!
@1goodtern
Sister told me she’s had non stop coughing since her 1st COVID. told her to be careful wear a mask. she said, I’m not going to stop living my life. I said you don’t have to stop just wear a mask. I told her we still live life but with a good mask. She won’t. Makes no sense to me
@laurieallee
We were both sick so we just masked even while sleeping to avoid passing it to the dogs. They’re a handful so there was no keeping them in one room. This is the biggest trouble maker in the group Snoop Dog.
@LauraMiers
Another story for you about denial. My BIL fell face first into a toilet bc he passed out. Hurt badly. He’s had COVID 3 times and just gotten over it . When I asked my sis when they were gonna go to doc for a fup she tells me, no he’s fine now no more dizzy spells 🤯
@Kit_Yates_Maths
Same here 3.5 yrs and then yesterday happened.
It’s not just a cold! I’ve never had a cold that makes me profusely sweat, my head doesn’t feel connect to my body and every single place on my body I’ve ever had a an injury feels like a knife is stuck in me. Mild my ass!
@sassyashieOG
No one wants to listen to me about the dangers and easy ways to help protect themselves. But the moment they catch COVID I start getting calls and texts that they’re scared, what they should do etc 🤦🏻♀️

Every person I know who traveled via plane in the last month are COVID +. Some it’s their 2nd time in 2 1/2 months. I tried to tell them but they wont listen. Some are now scared bc they keep catching it, they are finally masking and distancing.
@BossRoss70
Im in Harris County outside of Houston. It took us 3 times longer to vote and this is a mostly white upper middle class area. I was thinking, wow if I’m going through this here I can’t imagine areas that have a more diverse group what’s happening to them.

Hi Laura 👋🏻 just got back from my doc appointment & my doc is still masking N95. She told me no way will she take it off COVID is everywhere¬ going any place. It made my day seeing her still masked. I live in Texas. I wanted to share a little good news I knew you’d appreciate
@NateB_Panic
Yep, except
@PeterHotez
he’s all about vaccine equity and created a vax sent to poorer countries. Poor guy still gets harrassed and he still continues forward. I wonder why the US government doesn’t talk to him about his vax that costs next to nothing to make.
@hausofhemlock
I’m sorry you had this experience. I’ve decided if someone says something I’m going to pull my mask down and say, I currently have COVID and I’m trying not to infect everyone. This should throw them for a loop since they say masks don’t work.
@emilygraymd_mph
@danaparish
I walked into our building for the 1st time since 2020 this morning,I was the only one masked.The building has several hundred,I didn’t see one other mask. It took some guts to do it, I was so nervous but I’ve never been a follower. My boss texted me later and said, you rock.
@md_wallach
I had a spur of the moment complete hysterectomy at 32. Would you believe no one told me about menopause until I showed up at my family doc 3 months later crying, depressed and rapidly gaining weight. It altered my life. I wish I had enough sense to question the doc back then.
@MLS_Dave
I gave it to my wife from my job. Her entire office is out sick this week with COVID. She was only with 3 of them outside but the entire staff is out this week positive. She was with them for 30 min outside and still got them sick!
@1goodtern
My sister has chronic asthma now. Her husband passed out at work, fell and hurt himself very badly. They had COVID the previous week for the 3rd or 4th time. My sister was so healthy prior and I tried my best to warn her. It’s heartbreaking to watch.
@Dawnbtyree
I remember as a kid in my neighbor there was a girl that had a baby at 15 and her parents made her marry the guy and he was 30 😳 I didn’t understand then but now I get it. She was molested and instead of calling the cops the parents made her marry the molester and have his child

Ummm it does say she tried selling it for another funeral. You do know more than 1 person can die in a family smh do better. Do something that helps others!
@CovidSolidarit1
My wife just had it 2 times in 6 weeks. We know it was a new infection bc she tested negative 2x before she caught it again. Our doc told us about the variants &like mentioned there’s no 1 COVID. I don’t think a lot of people understand this.
@momanoms2
@kpopnquarantine
It’s a conservative area in Williamson County Texas not surprised at that behavior there. I live outside of Houstin and no one has ever said a word to me about masking.
I am 54 yrs old and married to a woman. I’ve been OUT since I was 22. I’ve never feared for my safety and I live in Texas. However, now with those guys in ID and then Proud Boys shutting down story time with a drag Queen has me a little on edge. I’ve personally felt supported my
@suzihixon

@DanWuori
That was different. They didn’t want to take mask on and off between stops bc of germy hands. The info is out there for education. You just have to be willing to not believe everything you hear and a little due diligence with some research.
@MLS_Dave
Because of people like you and your experience I knew to rest. I’m on day 24 and mostly back to normal today. I kept telling myself when you feel rested, rest some more. I did this and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge/experiences.
@curiousdatacat
COVID is over in corporate America. They’ve shown us we are not their priority. I make up all kinds of excuses not to attend work events. Sometimes I do have to go but I don’t get in anyone’s space. I sit in the back or by the door/window.
@NurseTexas1
Oh no I’m so sorry. My niece told me her 1 yr old was in the hospital with the croup. She said it was from a virus but didn’t mention which one. They don’t take COVID too seriously.
@LauraMiers
@Power2Control
Every single person I know who’s gone on a cruise since 2020 came back with COVID. In fact a friend who never had COVID this entire time until 4 months ago on an Alaskan cruise. Came home COVID +.
@lovewins11011
My therapist explained it won’t ever go completely away. But you can become more aware of what’s happening. I had no clue I had suffered trauma until I went to therapy. I was like damn!!! I sure enough did. So she taught me to recognize my triggers. Plus other things.
@MeetJess
@JonathanCrock
I just signed up for my yearly insurance and benefits through work in the US. Our life insurance we get through the company almost tripled in monthly premiums! I was shocked!!
@LauraMiers
But they sure tried to convince us early on that people especially kids were suiciding at an alarming rate. I’m not shocked it plummeted during closures. Our way of life is stressful for the strongest of people!
@1goodtern
And as soon as we are all damaged beyond repair they will then say, you had the tools why didn’t you protect yourself better! It’s infuriating and all I can do is watch the train leave the tracks!
@LibbyMbc
Not sure if you’re a dog person but my Snoops sends love and light your way. This boy brings so much joy to those who meet him. He’d love to give you a soft snuggle. He’s a therapy dog so he knows how to behave..kinda ☺️ He’s sending you soft snoop kisses.
@mildanalyst
Yes! I know someone who has all the COVID symptoms but when I ask if it’s COVID they say no, it can’t be I was around my 2 sick nieces but they’re little so I know it’s not COVID 🤦🏻♀️
@sewlove33
For some it’s not as bad. You understand that right? Long COVID etc ? Honestly how would we even know if it’s not as bad? Most reporting is gone. I’ve known more sick people personally in the last 3 months then i have since 2020. So don’t be fooled that “it’s not as bad”
@LauraMiers
@AlterIvan1
My company is doing nothing to protect us! However, my 2 immediate managers have made our positions “field” so we can continue to wfh! I realized those 2 are trying to protect us by not making us work in office. The company not so much!

in sick, have a flat tire etc…I won’t go back I’ve been 100% healthy the last 2 years and I plan on staying that way!

When I walked into my office last week for the 1st time in over 2 yrs i could see on everyone’s face that something is clearly not ok. Corporate America needs to step up their mental health game or it’s going to cost a lot of time, money and sadly lives. It is not biz as usual!
@denise_dewald
I’m in SE Texas and the last 2 yrs have been off the charts heat and humidity! I’m lucky I have a good AC but how long will it last when it’s running 24/7 year after year?
@1goodtern
This is me. I’ve only had it once. Before I had energy for days. Now i wake up and can’t wait to go back to bed that night. I never napped and now I nap to get thru the day, thankful I WFH.
My girl Abby’s last ride before she crossed today. We had some ice cream and I stayed with her until her final breath like I promised. I rescued her 9 yrs ago. She was such a wonderful soul that gave unconditional love until the end. RIP Abby
@CaliforniaCodes
Please note the government gave schools money to improve ventilation, testing, etc but a lot of the schools chose to spend it on other thing like band halls and football stadiums. Looks like your kids school were good stewards of tax payer dollars! Kudos!
Please, no more Will and Chris talk today! It took up too much of my mind space yesterday. Ready to move on to things that actually matter. Like, stockpiling food because costs keep rising, or WW3 happens and there’s a food shortage , etc…
@DrEricDing
It’s so sad they know how many will die or become disabled but still..no guidance on workplace or school safety. Once they do say something all these people lost could’ve been saved. I’m stunned my job wants me to risk my health when they tell me my health is
#1
priority to them.
@LauraMiers
sad 3 of my nieces have left k-12 teaching. One was a principal. They’re wonderful, smart open young women but they couldn’t take it anymore. They tell me it’s the parents, not all that are horrible to deal with. The dealt with the parents before COVID but COVID broke them.
@TheWordOfErynn
Golden retrievers are the best dogs in my opinion. I tell people they are the perfect family dog. They are so gentle. We called ours the gentle giant 🥰 yours is beautiful and I’m sorry for your loss 🙏🏼
Entire life. But now I don’t hear a word from my straight loved ones how they’ll stand up for my safety! After, I’ve held their hands through divorce, abortions, etc they are now nowhere to be found! I’m realizing I’ve had a false sense of safety all these years!
@LauraMiers
I agree. I WFH since COVID so I’ve had plenty of time to research and listen to different news sources. Most aren’t that lucky to WFH or have kids so they don’t have time or money to pay close enough attention. Some of our politicians take complete advantage of this too!
@AndreaR9Md
Back in the 90s while in school I worked as a PT tech. We had wound care bc it was an inpatient hospital. The most painful thing I’ve seen someone go through is a burn. I’ve seen fire burns and road rash. It’s horrifying for both. They wanted to die and pain meds didn’t help much
@RealGayArbys
It’s tough being the lone masker in a corporate meeting. Especially when someone says to me after, masks don’t work 🙄 I caught COVID bc I took my mask off at work. Never had it before until I wasn’t masked smh mask don’t work my arse!
@frankdefish
@BaddCompani
I had a friend with the local PD. She’d sit at home, her radio on until she got a call. She’d sleep, work with her horses all kinds of things. she’d get a call & off she’d go. She lived 35 min from her patrol area. She told me she was more scared of the police then the criminals
@sewlove33
I’m not talking about COVID although it’s included in my impending doom feeling. I had COVID 1st time 2 months ago and I’m now having kidney issues so, I “wasn’t just fine” after it.
@KevinPopp16
@auntmaggiep
I have a high paying job but I also work as a cashier in my partners biz. You are correct how people are treated. At my high paying job I’m treated with respect. As a cashier, not so much. It sure has opened my eyes that’s for sure! I’ve always tipped but now I tip bigger.
@RealGayArbys
It does feel odd to be the only masker. But I like the extra layer between me&people even without a virus. People tell me too much& I find myself in situations I don’t want to be in. the masks keep people away from me. When I do smile masked others understand bc they smile back.
@CovidDataReport
We both had COVID 6 weeks ago and my wife ended up in the ER last night and tested positive for COVID again. So far I’m ok 🙏🏼 I was really sick 6 weeks ago and her not so much. We just don’t know enough for people to be so lax about it all.
@1mariagarcia1
@DrGJackBrown
Yes, notice how few are talking. And when they talk about suing they make sure to say not the school or city but the gun manufacturer. The
@FBI
need to do their job so these people can grieve safely and freely.
@SethAbramson
The first I heard of Idaho being a white supremacy haven was the OJ case and a cop named Mark Furmon who retired to Idaho. The media started talking about it back then.
@LauraMiers
I told a friend going on a cruise she was going to catch COVID and she was offended. Guess what? Yep she was very sick. she’s leaving in 6 weeks with her 93 yr old grandmother for another cruise 🙃
@LauraMiers
My company which is 1 of the largest doesn’t even mention COVID now. the only thing 2 weeks ago was to come back 4 days a week since “COVID is mostly behind us” see how they won’t say it’s over. Its protection against future liability. People seem to be happily walking towards it
@MeetJess
A guy working on my pond today told me he had the flu a month ago. I asked his symptoms & how he knew it was flu. He said he didn’t he just figured. I told him it was COVID, not the flu. I just got over COVID and it was exact symptoms. He said, wow well that’s my 3rd time then.
@LauraMiers
@outbreakupdates
My friend who has long COVID plus at least 3x positive tests over the last 3 yrs is having lots of headaches, was told yesterday they think it’s viral meningitis and testing her. She’s had every test so far and nothing. She’s barely functioning. I hope they find an answer for her
