@thejackhopkins
It is quite obvious that his grip on the GOP is backed by blackmail. That is how he flipped Lindsey and others so quickly, that is how Justice Kennedy was forced to resign.
The only relevant question is if he’s the one calling the shots, or if he himself is controlled by Russia.
@Sky_Lee_1
@MuellerSheWrote
@SenFettermanPA
@SenTuberville
It is not ridiculous, it is dangerous.
Tuberville does not block those promotions over policy, but to prepare a Maga military.
If a Maga president comes to power, all those vacancies will be filled with brownshirts to keep them in power for years to come.
@thejackhopkins

@Mary_J_Robbins
@PopularLiberal
They haven't because Tuberville is doing exactly as he is told. The GOP is complicit in this, and the reason for the holdup is not related to abortions at all.
@capitolhunters
Podcasts are publications. It should not be possible to delete them to change history. Especially if you are a politician.
Mike Johnson will rue the day he became speaker. He is not prepared for what is coming for him.
Good.
@thomashrockwell
@RpsAgainstTrump
Is that some kind of trick question?
Trump took the interpreter’s notes, and we all know how meticulously he followed the Presidential Records Act!
Of course this is all in the national archives!
Or in some other archive, like Bedminster.
In some rack.
Or some coffin.
@Caerage
Well, technically it’s not her claiming that, and she walks really thin ice if she is involved in any capacity in this.
The hard part of a plea deal is not signing it, but keeping it. Her work for it has just started, and it’s still jail for her if she doesn’t.
@Elsievotesblue
This just confirms what I suspect for some time: The GOP is centrally controlled. The question is by whom, and by what means.
I supect it is controlled by Russia, and key figures are brought in line with kompromat.
@PopularLiberal
It's very telling that Manchin sees no bigger issue than the dress code. His suit is all what's holding this bag of horse manure in one piece.
@TomJChicago
The media won't help here. If Jack Smith has time to spend on this – and frankly I think he has bigger fish to fry – then he could eventually use this to get her off the case.
You don't have to search for the links of Cannon to Trump. Her links to the Fed Society are documented.
@matttwood
I once had a question, was referred to an older thread with the same problem, just to find out that the last post in that thread was a younger me asking if that question hasn't been solved yet.
@7Veritas4
His lawyers should be sanctioned for filing this. These 46 pages are designed to keep the court busy in the hope for delay.
Hope the judge writes two sentences to deny it and cite his lawyers to the bench to remind them about their function.
@thejackhopkins
To understand the similarities, don’t look to the 30s and 40s, because those atrocities seem still off to the US.
Look what happened in Germany in the 20s, how it all began. It doesn’t take as much as you think for some far off center party to build a cult, and a cult you have.
@goaloa
@AttorneyCrump
Well, as the case shows: Yes.
If the US does not get rid of that cancer of Christo-Fashism, then you should expect much more of it.
Originalists will point out that the founders never intended that women have a vote. So use it, and use it wisely, while you still can.
@Rainmaker1973
From a cultural point of view, a great sight.
Environmentally, not quite. Turf is a great carbon sink, and burning it is one of the more wasteful ways to use it.
@NoahShachtman
@WriterJackWhite
If you want to understand the Magadonian king, always ask what Putin would do.
Usually he is 100% aligned.
Do not ask what is in the interest of the US. It’s usually a mismatch.
@GOPMajorityWhip
It seems to have escaped your attention that the man you call „Mr. President“ has lost the election, and has no political function right now.
@MuellerSheWrote
The Texas Senate brought the charges, Paxton showed then what he has on them, then they „rethought“ their position.
This is simply how kompromat works.
@thejackhopkins
Yep, put the Magadonian in jail now.
He asks for it, and no matter how long the courts wait, at some point they have to do it anyway, because he will simply escalate it until they must.
The longer they wait, the more time he has to muddy the waters and incite his followers.
@Lindademocat
@thejackhopkins
The public will not know 10% of what Jack Smith knows for at least the next 50 years. He will only use enough to get him behind bars for the rest of his life.
@joncoopertweets
The key problem with another McCarthy speakership is not just that he would be the weakest Speaker of the House in US history, but that he didn't stick to his word numerous times.
He has burned any credibility he ever had, and that was not much to begin with.
Why trust him now?
@elliotmedaglio
@ProjectLincoln
@MalcolmNance
Even if they do: You don’t reveal your sources, and much less sources of an ally.
Plus, you never meet in your role as POTUS with a room full of Russians without any US person present.
@aintscarylarry
Actually, for me it was that moment when I realized that the whole power structure of Trump is run on kompromat, and that it was how Russia took over the GOP.

@alifeofinsanity
His name is quite obviously a liability already, which is why people owning the properties want it removed.
Not as worthless as Hitler, yet.
@sKy24LSD
@aidnmclaughlin
Actually, no. That is defamation.
The 1st amendment only prevents being prosecuted for speech against the state.
It just does not apply between media and a private citizen.
@PopularLiberal
Note that he claims that Obama would control Biden, and not for the first time. He is playing the Q playbook, expect more of this in the future.
@WalshFreedom
Hard disagree. If he can't be controlled, he must be put behind bars like anyone else would be in his position.
He won't be fit enough to become nominee anyway.
@CalltoActivism
That is more about paying attention than bravery for me.
Andrea Fuentes – only slightly incapacitated “fully clothed” with shorts and a tank top – was herself a highly decorated Spanish artistic swimmer in her active time.
She did rescue Alvarez a year before as well at another
@MattJohnstone10
@ReallyAmerican1
There is a bi-partisan senate bill, all the critical point have only a few Republicans opposing it, and the Speaker doesn’t even bring it to the floor.
How is any of this on Democrats?
Please explain it to me like I’m five.
@SaintLaurant
@7Veritas4
That argument is just a nice joke for the court, which is why is was not tried before. It borders to a frivilous filing.
There is no reason to be afraid of this.
The legal theory would be that the president would literally be a king in the medieval sense.
@ShaikhSahab__
@CalltoActivism
Andrea Fuentes was attentive and acted fast, and that is what set her apart.
However, she was well within her capacity to rescue her without any significant risk for herself.
People not caring for their own life often increase the overall rescue efforts in the end if they need
@RpsAgainstTrump
I'm not fundamentally opposed to another Dem candidate. They need a plan B anyway if Biden couldn't run.
However, Dean Philipps certainly isn't it.
@helensmomma
@TomJChicago
The only question is how much they own, and how much is actually his.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he is the minority owner of most of them.
@WalshFreedom
There are very few people in the world that could interview a traitor in a way it would not normalizing him, Jon Stewart, or eventually Medhi Hassan.
He won't agree on them though.
He only accepts „journalists“ he can control.

Get her for perjury, and sent her right to prison for violating her probation.
Plus fine her for each and every time she fails to give her testimony under the plea deal.
She'll not leave prison.
@TaraThrashr
@JoJoFromJerz
„Trump won“ in your bio?
Seriously, and you want to lecture anyone on facts?
He did not, as was proved numerous times in court, and will be historic fact for kids to learn.
He lied and grifted on you, and your education failed to provide you with the tools to see through this.
@a_chrisbray
@meiselasb
One could argue that there shouldn’t be much he doesn’t know about this, as he was there. Or that you or me would await that case in prison.
Or one could argue that you are a Magadonian, who didn’t bother to read the indictment, and block you.
@WalshFreedom
Kushner not just used his position, he provided US intelligence info, US business, US weapons and US policy.
Plus Trump hasn't just allowed it, he actively enabled and supported it.
That's not just political. He's a fing traitor that belongs in jail.
@Victorshi2020
@elonmusk
Looks like a scam to me.
Everybody who is checking gets exactly this result, that they are supposedly ghost banned. Even very small accounts. And all with an offer to get a new account.
Does not pass the smell test.
@realPhotoguy
@TomJChicago
Even if the trial goes very bad, he'll probably still secure the nomination.
Plus, another candidate is a real possibility anyway, and you must be able to beat them no matter what.
@cguld
Whatever happens in your life, this will ensure your place in history. This movie will leave people in awe years from now.
Thanks for doing “A storm foretold”.
All the best for your future endeavors!
@DavidBegnaud
Well, that certainly wasn’t the kind of twerking I expected.
How in God’s name is that inappropriate? These “Christians” are a disgrace to their own religion.
How is it his business anyway? Probably he was just looking for reasons to give that recommendation to a whiter girl.
@WalshFreedom
He will be not affected in his political speech.
Technically, he's arrested, and he can't and mustn't freely attack people directly related to his case outside the court room.
These people have rights, too, and the first amendment does not give a free pass for violent speech.
@GeoRebekah
I‘m pretty certain by now that blackmail controls the real power in the GOP, and likely even beyond.
If this would come out, the US will be a changed country.
@JustinWolfers
I take an educated guess that the US health care system, which despite having the highest cost per capita in the world leaves a significant portion of the population un- or underinsured, plays a major part in this.
I think Cuba beats the US here.
@BMeiselas
The Media as the Fourth Estate are becoming irrelevant, and that they will do zilch to save democracy. Reporting truth over ratings hurts them.
The Fifth Estate are the corporations running the internet. Not sure how they can be trusted either.
@theliamnissan
Actually I think that the main reason for her tweet was not her location, but that Pelosi has left the chamber.
Pence would have been carted away by the SS, and Grassley, who already on Jan 5th said he would lead the session, would have taken over.
It was all planned.
Jail'em.
@NARCToken
@mmpadellan
He understands the role of the House in the legal process.
Whoever is speaker controls the majority of the house, and any president needs to work with it.
Gym won’t have the votes anyway, but he and the other insurrectionists in the House should be indicted and jailed as soon
@mmpadellan
Tuberville is not the only person responsible.
The whole GOP is complicit, as they could fix that easily but decided that they won‘t. This is a plot.
@SundaeDivine
@lawofruby
The documents won’t be settled with midemeanor. It might have been (or rather not brought at all) if he returned everything as asked.
With the addition of repeated and wilful obstruction plus distribution?
No fing way.
@ungerbn103
You and me would be long sitting in jail, if we ever got bail in the first place.
However, it’s obvious that Trump tries to be arrested, so he becomes a martyr and can delay the trial.
So they try to avoid that.
At some point they will be forced anyway, but there’s no rush.
@zonepolitical
@MaddowBlog
@sap1028
No, this is not what this is.
Wealth is literally power. The punishment is to give up some of your power to either the people you have harmed, or to the society as a whole.
In the Jones case: He even made money on his victims, and he was ordered to give them some of his wealth
@mmpadellan
Yeah, I had the same thought.
Then I realized that Republicans never thought that there should be only one law.
It’s always one law for me, another law for thee.
@mmpadellan
When has a „good guy with a gun“ ever stopped a bad guy with a gun?
Even police and guards often enough fail to confront a shooter.
Guns do not increase safety and confidence.
They increase fear.
@RpsAgainstTrump
They brought him in line with this, and now after he broke his part of the deal, they follow through.
The GOP is controlled by blackmail.
@BaddCompani
That meeting alone sealed it to me that he is a Russian asset, and left me wondering how anyone on the US side could let this happen.
No American in the room. I have never seen Trump more relaxed than in the pictures from the Lavrov meeting.
@Bexter50
@TrumpsTaxes
You will never know all the dirty details.
There will be people writing their PhD thesis on these years, and even they will have to filter.
Nobody is ready to deal with all of it, and the US as a nation and the world are not ready for it.
@natalie_allison
In Germany I never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to vote, in my 35+ years of voting. All paper ballots, often more than one, all counted by hand, results next morning and final certification usually within 2 weeks.
When it comes to voting, the US is just a failed state.
@OmarRiverosays
Well, my father used to say:
„If somebody asks you to jump out of the window, would you do it?”
They were well aware that they were not the electors the people voted for.
They followed along, like many Nazis did.
Just following orders, just do what they have been told.
@typo_cat
The really crazy thing is that these red states rarely send representation that cares for the issues they have.
They send people who sabotage health care, education, infrastructure and provide tax breaks to the rich.
All for an unhealthy dose of religion and racism?
@baderalmahroqi
@fasc1nate
Not to diminish her bravery, but this clearly was a preplanned stunt. This was filmed 1926, no way that all those cameras were there by accident.
That said: It's an incredible dangerous stunt, and she must have been a very strong woman. Glad that she lived to tell the tale!
@collinsken604
@lawofruby
You’re more on point as you might know.
You know what a Scruple is? Scrupulus was the smallest unit for weight in Rome, it’s 1/24 of an ounce. Having no scruples literally means to be poor.
The journalists and media know what they should be doing. They just follow the money.
@TheoGottwald
@mcpolitik
@MiddleManEC
@OccupyDemocrats
Well, those were the first ones.
Rest assured that the senators that have to vote on it will rather sooner than later press to do it more efficiently.
After all, these promotions should be apolitical anyway, that is why the committee exists in the first place.
@NoLieWithBTC
This is such a sweet couple 🥰🥰🥰
He really has a way with women that totally killed my creep-o-meter.
I hope that she’s paid well enough, but doubt that this will improve the situation for him.
@justinbaragona
With „he“ you meant de Santis, right?
He is always killing his chances if he has to deal with a setting he doesn't control. He is even weirder than Johnson, who already tilts my creep-o-meter.
