There are a lot of families raising their chickens and pigs in their back yard, using them in the pupusas that they sell for bitcoin. They’re growing the fruits they use in their juices. They save a portion in Bitcoin and use the rest to buy products from shops with BTC.

Creating handcrafted natural mugs made out of the miracle ‘calabaza’ fruit at the Bitcoin Berlin Community Centre. It has an extremely robust casing that can be used for various types of vessels. These will be sold at the @btcfarmersmrkt to raise funds for the project.

CreaDos is a new business in Berlin. Hip and trendy, this is a first of its kind in the small city. Even though it has just opened, the owners cannot imagine not accepting bitcoin. It is now becoming weird for businesses to not accept bitcoin as payment here in Berlin.

We have a portable disco that comes to town every few weekends. It’s an opportunity for the young (& older) ones to get a dance in and share the evening together. The organisers of it have decided to take all tickets and drinks with bitcoin. It’s becoming integrated.

Our local permaculture expert Dave gave a top class lesson on compositing last night at the weekly bitcoin ‘reunion’. A group of around 15 of us then sailed down to the local Pupuseria at the Central Park to enjoy the evening discussing and paying in bitcoin.
