@GRDecter Genevieve, your remarks are usually spot on, but how do you know these people are waiting to withdraw money? That’s a pretty incendiary assumption, unless you have spoken with them. Most people withdraw funds with their phones or laptops. They open accounts in person.

What a stark example of what extreme profit motive can do to a luxury label! I used to go to the Loro Piana presentations when Sergio and PG Loro Piana ran the company. They took such pride in every detail. (And their mom yelled at them if the risotto wasn’t up to snuff.) Thread!

Agreed. Fashion has done most every silhouette over and over. The area of greatest potential for innovation are in textile development, supply chain management, and waste management/circularity. That may not sound sexy but it is sexy to save the planet and become a hero.

@thebandfrom @BinkleyOnStyle Are you implying that being innovative requires excessive amounts of waste? Mind you, a lot of the most innovative brands have zero or low waste philosophies.
