That’s true but it still doesn’t negate the effect of colorism in said community tho. And colorism stems from colonialism. Haiti was colonized, so how could we not be colorist 🤷🏽♂️

Lol how do you think that certain Taino words/deities are now a part of the Kreyol language and voodoo. By pure accident? It is well known that the few natives that weren’t killed hid in the mountains and formed Maroon communities with runaway slaves.
