With 5% increase from @thecsp and a 20% rise from @The_HCPC we are now looking at £45pcm to come to work. Its a struggle to see the current value of either in the real world, and no where near a deal that is a fair and equitable pay rise/conditions for NHS staff. Untenable #nhs

So I now tell people “I’m a manager in the nhs” instead of “I’m a physio” when asked Not because I’m not proud, but because it shuts down convo and no one asks for a fucking massage or to have a look at their back etc Win win

I think if you don’t want to be an FCP, or ACP, or do a Msc and you want to be a really good physio. We absolutely need that and I’m with you all the way Workforce planning isn’t about everyone being “advanced” (whatever that means)

How can anyone say that pain, is hugely complex, involving a myriad of complex interactions with human, societal and environmental factors, but then argue we can specify a structure in the back to treat or fix. Have a look at yourself for goodness sake

If GPs are telling us they need more GPs in Primary Care, & other roles not having the impact meant to be having, for lots of reasons NONE of which being that indiv cant do a job, or are not capable (irrelevant to the wider point btw) I really, really think we need to listen.

The world of physio a very strange place. The drive to elitism continues wrapped in so called advancement. It’s just a baffling, and potentially scary place for new staff and under grads. I think we can do better without the need to “validate” everything with a title

MSK services have been decimated, rehab spaces removed, staff redeployed, rising demand, complexity, staff retention and vacancies issues. So if someone doesnt get 12 sessions of "rehab" for a benign, not affecting ADLs/sleep msk issue, maybe thats ok. #finiteresources
