This was a massive failure of private sector outsourcing resulting in a myriad of dodgy providers getting paid bucket loads to kick people off the dole. The Greens will abolish mutual obligation and bring employment services back into the Australian Public Service.
Did you know the Greens won you the right to disconnect at work?
Our amendment not only protects you from unreasonable work demands outside of work hours, it also provides a pathway to pursue unpaid overtime concerns with the Fair Work Commission. Starting August 26th.

In response to my questions Treasury is investigating PwC for allegedly misleading the Foreign Investment Review Board when representing overseas clients. The dark well of unethical behaviour is a bottomless pit in the consulting industry. We need stronger action to rein them in.
NAIDOC 2024: 'Keep the fire burning! Blak, Loud & Proud' calls for the reclamation of narratives, amplification of voices & unwavering commitment to justice and equality. This commitment can be embodied in a national truth & justice commission, the time is now.

If Labor would agree to the Greens proposal for a rent freeze and cap then we could put an end to this out-of-control rent spiral that is increasing hardship for so many households.
Scyne Advisory has hit the $200m mark in rebuilding govt contracts for the ex-PwC partners who caught the lifeboat when PwC’s govt services arm started sinking in the wake of the tax leaks scandal. Can they really do a quick costume change and carry on as if nothing happened?
The Senate has voted to implement an interim transparency measure to report details of consulting contracts worth $2m or more. This covers less than 5% of current contracts.
The Greens tried to amend the motion to $500K to cover 20% of contracts. The major parties voted us down!
The Greens have pushed hard for divestiture laws to stop supermarkets price gouging & raking in billions in profit during a cost of living crisis.
Now the Coalition has announced they support divestiture powers, it’s up to Labor to commit to breaking up the ruthless duopoly.
The Truth & Justice Commission's power to examine historic & ongoing injustices against First Peoples in Australia will put truth telling front & centre. Telling the truth about the violence & dispossession of Aus history is the first step in healing & self-determination.

The man who was parachuted in as CEO at PwC Australia secretly remained on the payroll of PwC International who, he says, refuse to hand over the Linklaters report to him or the Australian Senate. It's time to come clean Kevin. Let's see who was really behind the PwC tax scandal.
For First Nations justice to be delivered, we must tell the truth.
To move forward we must be honest about the violence and dispossession at the heart of this country’s history.
I’m proud that the Greens will introduce a Bill to establish a Truth and Justice Commission.

So it slips out, not in answer to the Senate but instead on last week’s 400 person PwC zoom, that Kevin Burrowes pay for debacle mgmt is in fact $4m + bonus not $2.8m (corrected up from $2.4m) put to the Senate. Simple, fullsome truth telling does not come easy to this leadership
I watched the debate.
Golf handicaps. I just cannot get past that. With all that’s happening in the world. Old men arguing about golf handicaps. And not even knowing, either of them, how wrong that is — on so many counts.
Bosses blaming workers for low productivity when it is they who refuse to invest in modern workplaces should be laughable but this editorial is deadly serious as it points the finger at unions seeking pay rises for workers facing a cost of living crisis caused by price gouging.
Business may frown on longer leave & shorter working hours, but they're essential to a happy & healthy workforce. We can lift productivity through new technology & training, improving workflows & a positive work environment which includes fair pay and time away from work.

Wage theft in universities is a systemic problem that harms staff & undermines confidence in the sector. To address it we want to see public targets for permanent employment, clearer reporting requirements, easier access for unions & increased funding. Enough is enough!

Over a year ago, when the Consultants Inquiry was getting underway, an insider told me the Big 4 wouldn’t worry about losing govt contracts, they would just shed staff, trim their operations and focus on lucrative defence contracts where the big profits are.
We Greens continue to push Anthony Albanese and the Labor Government to recognise the State of Palestine and to take real meaningful action to stop the genocide in Gaza. Free Free Palestine!
This photo from World Whistleblower Day in Adelaide shows Julian Assange's Dad, John Shipton (centre) standing next to David McBride, now jailed for exposing war crimes. Let's hope that Julian's incarceration is truly at an end and it's now on us to win freedom for David McBride.
