@mtracey Are you familiar with Trinidad Colorado? It has this quite lovely downtown with old buildings and red brick streets, but almost all the businesses are weed shops or pawn shops. It’s not an inconvenience, but it’s also not a great sign.

Cars represent autonomy to a lot of people. They don’t want them childproofed in ways that limit their full capability.
