Why do Arewa couples need to start their lives together with a full set of furniture, one year’s worth of provisions and ceramics only meant for a glass display cabinet? Families would do better pooling funds for the bride and groom to invest in their long term financial future.

Today I say goodbye to another son as he heads off for screening. I’m upstairs trying to hide my tears from him. May he serve this country well and be part of the success story of its turnaround. May God protect him and other young people giving the best of themselves for others.
