Five years ago today, my mom passed away.
Since then, I’ve been through true darkness and come out the other side a strong, ambitious young man.
I’ve never publicly reflected on my experience, but for anybody going through trauma, loss, or emotional pain of any sort, read on:
My girlfriend and I moved from Austin to Tampa last weekend.
General thoughts on Austin and WHY we decided to move:
First I’ll say that Austin is a 10/10, phenomenal city. I have nothing but fondness and incredible memories from living there the past ~24 months.
There’s a
I haven't changed my lock screen since 2016.
It's a picture of my mom, dad, and I, right after one of my sophomore year college football games.
I was 19 at the time, mom and dad were healthy and kicking.
I can tell how proud they are in this picture.

How I changed from an egotistical college-football player with no purpose to an introspective, purpose-driven online business owner.
My story of losing a parent at 20, committing to personal development and growing two multi-6 figure businesses by the age of 25:
Last weekend marked 5 years since I graduated from college.
Since then, I’ve learned an INSANE amount about life and business. I’ve:
- Lived in Massachusetts, Austin, and now Tampa
- Worked in sales and brand management at three different companies
- Sold 100k+ fidget toy units
playing college football was one of the most difficult things I've done in my life.
taught me an extraordinary amount about discipline, accountability, and responsibility. key pillars of life
extremely grateful for the experience
I took these two pictures on my first day of work in corporate America (June 2019).
I look back on these images with such fondness.
It was the beginning of my journey as a young adult.
Wide-eyed, knew nothing about money. Knew nothing about life.
Rent was ~$800/mo. Lived
moms would’ve turned 63 today. i took this first pic of my mother 6 months before she passed. she was a beautiful woman and an utter ray of light in this world. eternally grateful for the 20 years i got to spend with her. don’t worry mama, ima make you so proud 😇❤️

fun doesn't have to be relegated to being young!
life will progressively get better if you want it to. have fun in your 20's, 30's, 40's etc. get rich, provide for those close to you, create your dream life. that's real fun
reading changed my life.
i've read nearly 200 books in the past 4yrs, and wouldn't be ANYWHERE close to who i am today if it wasn't for the books i've read.

Something I love about living in Tampa:
Geographic accessibility.
Quick drive to Saint Pete, the beach, anywhere in Tampa, and generally anywhere in Florida.
45mins to the beach. 3hrs to West Palm. 4hrs to Miami etc
Having a girlfriend, wife, or family is a cheat code for achievement.
They’re a daily reminder of why you do what you do.
It’s so easy to deviate from your mission. ESPECIALLY in today’s world of instant gratification and social media.
Not talked about enough

Nature living vs city living
I'll spend a month in New England this summer, basically removed from any semblance of city life.
In Tampa, I meet more people, experience a faster pace of life, have access to modern places/things, try new restaurants etc.
