Funny thing is, every single fellow who had looked at history through the lens of historical materialism, knew this was coming. Calcutta without its hinterland trading with British Interests in Malaysia was NOTHING. Heck even the Bengal Congress knew this was coming.

How far Calcutta has fallen that we don't even think about it much anymore? I believe Kochi Port now handles more containers than Kolkata Port, Kochi Airport ofcourse more international flights. Kerala now even equals West Bengal in services exports. South and West eclipsed it.

@Abdurkitabi @yusufpore @WilfredQuadros1 While second part of statement may be right (muslims who voted for Pakistan did not go) the first part (majority of Muslims voted) is wrong. There was no universal suffrage under British, thats a post independence innovation. Only landed and rich muslims had vote.

Tackiness is a UP culture problem. Look at iskon/swaminarayan sampraday projects. Every single one of then celebrates for their aesthetics. UP people are... Kya hi bolein. In fact general hindi belt people. When it comes to aesthetics, disaster.

@BigFinlayMcC @ErinEARoss No like, the distributions don't overlap and it's not even funny. I can lift, sitting on my ass, not going to a gym, stuff ive seen my friend 2 years prep for. And I used to believe I was an exception. Then i saw a chart. And then went and talked to the trainer. Its crazy!

Absolutely not 😂 an avg muslim kid hates random Bosnian women for marrying Christians, and the slightly educated ones thinks Kashmir is a landed colonialism problem. Hindus and Muslims are the same people, in their hopes and aspirations and ignorance and stupidity.

@prathgodbole consider an alternative : tertiary effects of proximity to delhi and secondary effect of haryana's relative prosperity through caste networks. plot the same data for Haryana and see what happens. also plot caste overlap data with haryana.
