⁃If you don’t think that LIV is here to stay, your head is in the sand. This is clearly working!! ⁃I love all golf, watch it all the time. Todays field was just so much more appealing than this weeks PGA or DP Tour.

- LIV ain’t going anywhere. There only going to get bigger and bigger. - I’m sure more big names will jump, which in turn will see others jump too because they don’t want to miss out. - 15 teams next year. Would like to see them do 15 tournaments plus a team championship

- sat at the party hole for a good 90mins. Brilliant fun. Great hole, atmosphere was electric, particularly when the bigger names turned up! - I’m nigh on 40, my party days never were but you can’t not enjoy it. Fans at the Digger Inn looked like it was awesome for them

So let’s set the scene & get the bias accusations out the way… I like LIV Golf, I think it’s great for the game but I do have some critical analysis too, it’s not all positive. I don’t care about the Saudi’s, I know why the US based guys do but sorry It’s not an issue for me!

@NUCLRGOLF Rory and a couple of others could end all of this… Let’s say 3 out of 5 of Rory/Viktor/Wyndham/Xander/Hideki all go to LIV, it’s all but over in terms of strength of field as others would go too. If all 5 went, the game would unify within 6 months as they’d (PGA) have too.

New addition to the family coming in June/July and one that we’ve finally managed to cultivate ourselves with a bit of help! 😁 We are absolutely delighted obviously and can’t wait though it’s right in the middle of the cricket season 🙈🏏

- so I managed to find a ticket for £100 with @sportsbreakscom through the @MajesticksGC - happy to pay that as it came with a Hat (which I collect) and a signed photo (which I collect too) - bought the parking too so all in all, pre-costs were just over £100

- few older groups however, said it wasn’t their cup of tea. Open minded to try it but said they preferred the masters or open held in the UK. - unsurprising but I don’t think there the target audience here. - lots of kids again, LIV know what they are doing. 😉

⁃SSG have no idea what to do as they know they need golf together. Will try and adapt the PGA but find resistance and threaten to walk away and stop investment. That’s my narrative, perhaps wild to some, maybe not so to others. Just a brilliant, brilliant story for the ages!

If the rumours of the schedule are true, surely this indicates… - Hideki in with a stop in Japan, that will raise eyebrows and others on the fence might be convinced. - Hovland just screams LIV Golf to me, maybe I’m wrong but if I’m not, think both the above are game changers

- and for the love of god, ditch the Pepsi and get the Coca-Cola in 🤣 (I have a coca-cola addiction 😔) - merchandising tent was good. Added more hats to my collection. - wish there was more variety in what they sell. Felt like hats and clothes. I want the smaller bits too!

Let’s start with the booking… - I’m a dope, I left it & left it thinking there would still be tickets available & then about a week before the event, it sold out 🙄🙈 - I was gutted, but tickets on resale sights were in the £200s - paying £45 ✅ paying £200 ❌ paying £100 ✅

- First impressions of the JCB, I wasn’t sure. Last year as I pretty much walked in, the putting green was in front of me, as was Hole #1 . - It seemed that the main hub was a lot further away this time. Wasn’t sure if I liked it. - Course was in immaculate condition 🔥

⁃Fully expecting to see Rahm, Hideki and Cam Young to be with LIV next year imo. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Scheffler either! ⁃Clearly a few look out of place on the tour and the likes of Kim, Morgan, Wiesberger, Piot, Jones may have to work their way back in.

⁃Asian Tour pull out of OWGR, possibly other tours too. Another form of ranking adopted (No idea which one) ⁃LIV players win 3/4 majors. Gets other players thinking. ⁃TV contract secured in US and quite possibly the UK too. Thinking Fox (US) and TNT (UK)

Carlsberg don't do days but if they did, today would be right at the top! Nice 50 partnership at the end and a cheeky 22no. The best catch of my career, diving one handed to my left, as well as another and then bowled 6-2-5-2 and main thing was a win at Kegworth #uptheshed

Venue thoughts… - traffic to get to JCB was so much worse than Centurion. Took about 45-60mins for the last 2 miles. - Park and ride whilst a good offer, needed to be the other side of the course, just off the main roads into JCB. - Entry though was quick and easy!

- the younger demographic clearly are the key here, they can relate to it and want to see this type of golf. - on the whole, most of the crowd was respectful, Rahm clearly struggles with the noise, that doesn’t mean he wants out though. Just needs to get used to it.

⁃Improvements, not many. Few extra names as mentioned. Maybe a few extra teams as some holes had breaks. Food prices need looking at too. Few more bits of merchandise & all caps being available! ⁃My legs are gone, didn’t help that had. 90 minute drive back up the M1. 😩🤣

⁃Noticed lots of youngsters on the bus which surprised me a little even though catered for a younger market. ⁃Clearly hitting the 18-40 demographic, place was full again a surprising number of women. ⁃Knew full well women would be there but perhaps not quite as many.

⁃Went back & bought 3 caps (I collect sports caps) for £105. Expected those prices. I got a Majesticks, Crushers & LIV cap. Will probably get all of them eventually. ⁃Departed the village, music blaring, really good vibe, I was totally into it. Certainly is Golf but louder!

- I’m carrying on with the course praise, it’s an outstanding course imo, has a bit of everything. Preferred JCB to Centurion, glad it’s back there next year too! - One thing I thought that was a lot worse this year was the fan village. Seemed a heck of a lot smaller.

⁃Talks fail between PIF & PGA, mainly because they want LIV folded or at the very most, an end of season jolly. ⁃PGA fire-fighting continues but more names drip feed to LIV. ⁃LIV double down on players - Xander, Young, Hovland, Hideki, Fleetwood all take the plunge.

⁃Went for a walk around the course, first 3 I came across was Brooks, Lahiri and Varner. Funny the things you notice, Brooks is taller than I expected! ⁃Again, man they hit the ball a long way! ⁃Walked over to 4th tee and waited for Henrik, Patrick and Louis.

⁃Very easy access to course, friendly staff at gate & good leaflet showing start tees for players. ⁃Straight away first tee in front of you & was already full 45 mins before start. ⁃Also in front of you was putting green & great to see the players just a few metres away

⁃Bought a last minute ticket and very easy to do, no issues here. ⁃Had to get the Park and Ride option but straight off the M1 pretty much and barely any waiting around before ferried to Centurion.

⁃Most Majors give LIV 10 places for their players as they have too. ⁃Ryder Cup fall-out as US won’t allow LIV golfers unless qualify automatically. Europe have to allow them, mainly for Rahm & Hovland. ⁃LIV goes to 60 players and 15 teams.

Very proud of the oldest two today, both were in solo music contests with Abby coming 2nd out of 19 in her age group in Leicester and Ben coming 4th out of 15 in the 11-15 years age, not bad at all for a 12 year old! This is why we do what we do! #opportunities #fostering

@flushingitgolf I just don’t see it at all…. There not going to have signed/paid out all that cash to just drop it. So many people outside of golfers have jobs at LIV, I don’t see Yasir going all in with the PGA to not be pulling the strings. I see an ultimatum, join or I double down

⁃Not as many food outlets around the course compared to British Masters. ⁃Settled myself down by the 9th green and up popped Bryson. His group all made Birdie or Eagle on 9 with good approach’s or putts.

@BirdiesBro Whether it ends up being 54/72, a theoretic cut needed. By that I mean that all players still play each day but bottom 24 play for nothing but team points/cash. Keeps the stars on the field but you could set them off earlier and still have a shotgun start for top half.

@secrettourpro Rory or Hovland - both ensure that the likes of Aberg/Hojgaards/Fleetwood/Xander/Fitz see LIV as the place to be. Hideki not far behind in terms of status and the Asian players going with him

⁃Next carried on walking around the course. I’ll be honest, I found it very hilly. More than I expected but what a beautiful course it is. ⁃Got myself a Bacon Burger to munch on, very nice but I did think it was expensive for what it was. Think it cost me £12.

⁃Lots more to have a go at with Majesticks having a few things with their branding on ⁃Probably not as many catering outlets as British Masters. ⁃Popped into merchandise tent, Majesticks unsurprisingly front and centre for London.

⁃Got myself a drink back in the village, vibe still good and chilled out under the shade for a bit. ⁃Headed to 18th, very busy around hole. No idea what Burmester did to mess up out the bunker. Ball literally went over the stand. Recovered brilliantly, think he made par.
