4. Waiting too long to launch. You need real customers in your process/product so you can start learning. Launch early and iterate quickly with user feedback. Hint: if you're not at least a little embarrassed by your MVP, you are launching too late.

1. Trying to solve too many problems for too many people. Founders like to think big (good), but covering a bigger surface area will NOT make your startup more likely to succeed. Instead you need to focus on 1 deep problem for 1 target demo early on. You can expand to more later.

2. Building too much tech too early. You don't need an app with 35 features as your MVP. This will only slow down your launch & you'll prob throw away 90%+ of it. Build the MINIMUM thing you need to test your core hypothesis. You might not even need any tech at all.

3. Not talking to users enough. Building might make you feel productive, but if you're not building FOR your user, you're wasting your time. Few of us are Steve Jobs (know what customers want when they don't know it themselves). Become the biggest expert in your users' needs.

8. Lastly, I believe that accents are a sign of bravery, as is immigration overall. Whether a non-naive speaker chooses to work on their accent or not, native speakers should understand their privilege, and do their part to ensure everyone feels included and treated fairly.
