My daughter was born with a hip issue. Not fully formed. She had to wear leg braces 23.5 hrs/day for a few months as an infant. Today she became All Around State Champion, winning gold in 2 events & silver in the other 2. The hardest worker & a coach favorite. Extremely proud.

I just purchased 3 FBA businesses in the last 30 days. General insights: 1) Values are down. We didn’t pay more than 3x for any of them. A year ago I bought 1 and paid 4x. That was market at the time, but downtrends in ecom are depressing valuations.

@Molson_Hart Yes, we make our own and since we sell a lot of filters we negotiated a crazy dimensional divisor of like 280, so almost everything ships actual weight and not dimensional weight. Our cost to ship non-bulky and light is ok, but bulky and light is relatively crazy.

I sell EV chargers to contractors and builders, but also on Amazon. Typical EV charger brand is a few per day. Just listed my new Tesla stock and it sold out in 90 minutes. No tech difference. Tesla is a real brand that can sell outside of vehicles. Incredible stuff.

@BlackLabelAdvsr Hmm. We charge only $16 per pallet and generally less per item (our structure is a bit different). Cool program, but doesn’t seem to be aggressive enough. On a related note, our cost basis is technically $.00001 cu/ft/month, so hard for Amazon to win against those at scale.

2) I bottom feed. My brands are boring. Spot markers, burring bits & shower liners. But they are #1 for killer keywords. Being #1 , not just first page, is the mother’s milk of margins on Amazon. 2 of the brands spent $0 on ads for the last year and generated millions on sales!

Best move we made starting 18 months ago was stocking way up on inventory. Selling stuff now that we bought at 2020 prices increases our margin by about 20%. Bad news, but we are still stocking up. High inflation still has another year of run.
