My super-clever mother Mary died tonight. Cambridge science graduate, voracious reader, could speak several languages, widely travelled, married for 64 years to my dad who she adored and who cared for her so well. She liked hats and cats and loved strong-minded women. What a gal!

Just want to thank all the staff at @KettGeneral Hospital for all their care looking after my mum. Each time I've phoned I've been put through to a member of staff, spoken to the doctor treating her, the nursing and ward staff too. Excellent communication and such a relief. 👍🏻👏🏻

So, the gross misconduct hearing has opened into the Nick Adderleycase. Evidence given to the hearing in two books - An Extraordinary Sacrifice and Lured to their Deaths - both written about two Greater Manchester Police Officers murdered on duty included quotes from Mr Adderley
