In 2013, my dad found out he had HCV, we were scared to start IFN, yet more scared his liver dx may worsen. In 2016, he achieved SVR after DAA. My father's sickness is what motivated me to pursue a scholarly GI career! I'm grateful to my mentors & honored to join @SLUgastro fam🏠
