Welcome to my page! My name is Alexander Bruyns.
I'm a digital artist and music composer from Belgium, diagnosed with autism and ADHD.

I am also the founder of
@BloodyVulpine
, an indie horror game publishing label.
Whatever criticisms I may have with The Short Message, it definitely gave me one of my new favorite Silent Hill monster designs. Masahiro Ito never fails to deliver.
I do kind of wish that the lighting in the game was more reminiscent of the lighting in the game's concept art. That rosy tint looks so good, especially with how it reflects off the cherry blossoms, making them almost glow in a way.
Also, if I can shamelessly plug something, here's an RPG Maker horror game that
@LIUMatthew2
made which I did music for! Check it out!

I don't think many game devs realize how fucking cool it is that they're able to make actual video games that people can play. Like, that's so dope.
Keep up the great work, you legends.
Here's a thread of
#PSX
assets I've found on Itchio, for those looking to make games with a retro aesthetic.
These are in no particular order, and I'll try to tag each asset creator in each tweet in case you want to give them a follow.

We all know Hildur Guðnadóttir for her work on Chernobyl and Joker, or Natalie Holt for her work on Loki. But a lot of female composers still don't get the recognition they deserve.
So here's a thread of female film and game composers I know who I highly recommend checking out!
A detail I've always really liked about the Half-Life 1 zombies is that you can see the outline of the person's skull beneath the headcrab. It's a shame this design choice didn't carry over in the other games.
Made a new poster for Silent Hill: Little Baroness, featuring one of the enemy designs I created for the game.

I hate that this is apparently a hot take in the community and makes you a "puriteen". Like, no, this is just common decency.
A lot of people have gotten way too comfortable displaying their kinks publicly in spaces where both non-consenting children and adults are present.
Gonna have to ask game developers who make PSX horror games to please consider using literally any other location than a gas station or convenience store.

Why would this feel out of place? Queer people can be openly queer, and it's not like it doesn't fit with the show or setting.

want me to make an album cover for their game's soundtrack, don't hesitate to DM me. I'd be more than happy to whip something up, free of charge.
And yes, you'd be more than free to use it for your official soundtrack release.
Game devs, remember that game development is incredibly difficult and not everyone can make games. What you're doing is incredible, and the fact that you're able to make something that people can actually play should make you feel proud. So keep it up!

A reminder to all game devs to not give up.
Game development is hard. And making a working game that people can actually play is something to be incredibly proud of.
It's okay if things go slow. A small amount of progress is still better than no progress.

And then there's also those same people who never outgrew that phase and still act like whiny manbabies when a piece of media features a female, LGBTQ+ or POC character.
Remember to be supportive of indie devs, no matter how small they are or what their games are like.
Leave constructive criticism when writing a review. Don't insult their work because it wasn't good or because you didn't like it.
Inspire indie devs to grow by showing support.

It's pretty cringy seeing people in the comments posting pics of Earth in order to be like "Why bother going to Mars? Earth looks nicer!"
Literally the whole point of going to Mars is to terraform it so that it becomes more Earth-like.
I was rewatching
@JohnWolfeYT
's playthrough of
@PuppetCombo
's MURDER HOUSE, and I can't believe this is the first time I noticed Gary's corpse just flying away like that lol
For fuck's sake... DO NOT PLAY OR REVIEW THIS DEVELOPER'S GAMES!
The developer is Artur Łączkowski. He's a transphobic racist who used a real 911 call of a woman getting sexually assaulted in one of his games.
Please watch
@bobvids
' video on him:
Despite an uneven start and a woefully predictable story, Supernormal can offer some sincerely spooky encounters. While it's far from a PT killer, it's at least a decent way for a horror fan to kill a little time.
