My dad passed away yesterday. He meant so much to me and he always supported me. This is one of the last pictures I have with him from 2017. He was in a dark place for a while, I just never knew how dark. He is at peace now. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here for you

A significantly higher CP bar instead of top 75 would've solved the main issues. Nothing wrong with TPCI wanting a smaller Worlds. CP bar makes it so you don't have to care how others do at the events you can't attend. A bar is a clear goal to reach & you control your own destiny

Last time I had this much confidence going into a big tournament was San Diego. I would've loved to win, but 3rd was close & I finally get to add a Regionals medal to my trophy collection! Team was 10/10 & one of my favorites I've ever built. I'll try again in Sacramento 😄

Team I used to get 12th in Dallas with no dynamax candy on 5/6 Pokemon. Can't say I would've won the whole thing without this issue, as it didn't come into play in my top 16 loss actually. No team is perfect, but this one is very versatile and all members carry their weight :)

Let's try this again because a Top 32 cut isn't a great structure. Hi @AlphaZealot @playpokemon a day 2 swiss structure like at the international championships would be greatly appreciated by the community. TCG has had it for years, so I think it's time for VGC to join them.

With dynamax and max moves, the amount of time these animations take will make many games reach the time limit too often. I am positive the community would appreciate this.

It's July 1st and I'm ngl, Worlds is looking a little cooked. I'm having 0 luck with job searching and flight prices are rising daily. I considered selling my Champion's Festival 22 to at least pay for some of the trip and the money I owe but it'll take 21 days to clear payment.

After a little over two weeks my time in Japan is coming to an end. I had an amazing time, but I am glad to be going home finally! I wasn't planning on playing until Sacramento, but I loved my Worlds team so much I said screw it and booked Pittsburgh. See everyone there :)

Out at 3-3. My team was honestly amazing, but I just played poorly in all my losses. All 3 went to game 3 so they were very winnable. Also didn't help that I didn't practice since late July because I have been in Japan. It was a sacrifice I was willing to make, be back next year!

When we got this bag in our competitor kits I was super excited because I had been wanting a satchel/small bag while in Hawaii & I liked the design. It turned out to be a pin binder which was a big disappointment so I used some scissors & turned it into a satchel 🤣

Lost in top 16 but honestly I'm still very happy. I lost game 3 final turn on an air slash miss but I had good luck throughout the tournament so I'm really not salty. So all my Pokemon except one didn't have dynamax candy LOL! So I played with a huge disadvantage all tournament🤣

If next season there is no CP bar it would be a HUGE step backwards. In 2015 my regional finishes were 1/1/32 (BFL was 3) & if I missed points at US nationals I would've missed my Worlds invite. Imagine how toxic day 2 races have been in past years & amplify it SIGNIFICANTLY

Resistance has not been kind to me this season 🥲 3rd time I've gone 11-3 & not be able to move on when an 11-3 can win the tournament. Also miss out on top 16 CP & money. That's how tournaments go sometimes so just gotta keep the consistency going!

View from our hotel in Tokyo. Probably the most insane view I've ever had in a hotel 😳 First thing I noticed getting into Tokyo is the insane amount of people in the streets compared to Kyoto/Osaka.

I've accepted that I broke the rules and deserved the DQ, but that doesn't mean I can't still be upset about it. I should've been DQ'd in top 8, not top 4. Yuree should've been allowed to move on to top 4. The penalty for asking for a win is more severe than actual cheating.

Zoe and I could hear the spectators during our match and that was really bad and distracting. Spectators were giving out crucial items and moves on Pokemon during the game. Surprised it's round 3 and we were the 1st to complain about it.

Italy is amazing and Venice is probably my favorite city I've ever visited. No cars, only walking/boat rides, everything is hella old/feels historic and it's just beautiful 😊

Anyone ever think about how they chose the wrong game to love and put time into to play at a top level? Like there are many other games that reward you with a career when you're one of the best (League, Fortnite, Overwatch, etc.), but not the game you chose to play.

I was 19 & still in college when I went to my first Regional in 2013. Most people at this age aren't financially stable. $70 is absurd & the barriers it creates for new players is insane. I know if Regionals were $70 when I first started playing, I would likely not be here still.

Great set with @YureeVGC he completely outplayed me game 1 and he played really well game 3. I made the call he would tbolt since sand would've run out and his zapdos would've lived, so the roost wasn't necessary. Pretty happy with my play though overall!

Sucks the way we found out, but I'm glad that TPCI heard the community and changed the timer. Now if only we can get them to give North America 16 day 2 slots. It's still really unfair that we only have 8 day 2 slots and Europe has 16 when Worlds isn't in North America this year.

Lesson for everyone, trains in Japan aren't 24 hours. Stayed out late in Osaka while our hotel was in Kyoto and had to pay for a $200 taxi ride to get back to our hotel 😅 This would normally be like a $15 train ride 🥲

Hit 1000 CP exactly after the two Global Challenges got updated! I still don't think I'm 100% locked for day 2 since the race is so tight. All it takes is not getting points at NAIC & other players close in CP doing well.

Hi @AlphaZealot @playpokemon San Diego for VGC is going to be one of our biggest tournaments ever. A day 2 swiss structure like at the international championships would be greatly appreciated by the community. TCG has had it for years, so I think it's time for VGC to join them.

I know I haven't been too active this season, but I will be at Columbus! Not really going for my invite unless it happens from NorCal + Columbus. I haven't missed nationals since 2014 and it's one of my favorite events. I'll be at worlds even if I don't get my invite too :)

San Antonio 32/523 Portland 25/502 Vancouver 17/401 EUIC 27/975 I've been very consistent, that is 4x day twos in a row. I just haven't had the big win or finish I've been looking for though and it has been a while. Just a little disappointed 🥲

I've been watching some VGC vids since I haven't been motivated to compete with no IRL circuit and it has been a lot of fun. What are some the sickest/craziest plays you've ever seen in tournament? Here's of my faves from Yuree at Worlds 2018.
