A mother and two twin boys were driving from Maple Ridge to Kelowna for a birthday when they were involved in a six-vehicle crash. Layna, 40, killed on Highway 1 in Chilliwack. Dominic, 8, was also killed. His twin brother is in the ICU.

BREAKING: Police are investigating after 17 horses have been shot dead. The horses were of cultural significance to the Skeetchestn Band. "The motive behind this disheartening act cannot be confirmed at this point," says RCMP. The wild horses frequented the area.

UPDATE: There are 275 people trapped on #BCHwy7 . People stuck there are tell me they’ve done a head count and a helicopter is being organized to possibly evacuate them out. They tell me everyone is in “good spirits” and are thankful for technology. #BCFlood
