This morning, I walked from Waunceirch to the top of Drummau Mountain, #Neath . The walk was steep in parts, particularly towards the top, but the reward was views across the whole of #Neath , and off into the distance towards #Swansea and #PortTalbot .

Today’s walk - a circular from Llantrisant Woods to Llanharan and back. The highlight was seeing the ruins of St Peter’s Church - an ancient church located in a near-desolate spot but with stunning views south over Pencoed and towards Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Castell Henllys Iron Age Village, on the north side of #Pembrokeshire . There’s very few tourist attractions like it - this is the only Iron Age Village in Britain, where living accommodation from the era has been reconstructed in the exact spot that it stood millennia ago.

My walk from @cwmcarnforest to Twmbarlwm. This very scenic walk in the south-east of Caerphilly County Borough involves a lot of climbing, but a historic hill fort/castle site with views of Newport, the Severn Bridges, Flatholm, Steepholm and the Brecon Beacons is the reward.

I did a midweek walk this week - and picked a great day for it. It was back to #RhonddaCynonTaf county, parking at Pen Pych Forest and then taking in a clockwise circular walk which rose very steeply at the beginning after passing what little is left of the old Dunraven Colliery.
