Saying Jackson Merrill should win NL ROY over Paul Skenes is *not* a slight towards Skenes, who has been electric. But he's only appeared in 16 games thus far. Merrill plays nearly every day, made the team out of spring training, and is making an impact day in and day out.

Showing bunt is different than actually bunting. Showing bunt can affect the defensive alignment in the batter's favor. Showing bunt can also impact the pitcher's mentality. He didn't actually bunt with multiple runners on while trailing by multiple runs.
