The search for missing 2-year-old Rory Pope is over. He was recovered from the pond behind N. Arena Ave. early this morning. Crews had spent all night pumping water out of the pond. He was found when the water level dropped.
Ammon Bundy is back in custody at the Ada County Jail. ISP arrested Bundy at the Idaho Statehouse Wednesday morning on a second set of trespassing and resisting arrest charges.
The girls have been found. They are safe. All is well. They were just found in a neighborhood a few blocks away near a house under construction on E. Folgado Street.

Eagle, Boise, Meridian, Star, and BLM fire crews are battling a grass fire near Hill Road between Horseshoe Bend and Seamans Gulch roads. Deputies have recommended voluntary evacuations on about a dozen homes on the north side of W. Hill Rd.
Good news! The missing Star 4-wheelers have been found and appear to be okay. Initial info indicates they got stuck somewhere in the Danskin mountains near Prairie. They’re on their way home now. Thanks to everyone who helped.
Several law enforcement agencies in Idaho – including those in Ada County — are getting fake school shooting reports called in to 911 Dispatch centers. The calls have been checked and none of the reports have been valid. Investigators are working to track the source of the calls.
ICYMI: 11 year old Thomas Benavidez has been found safe and sound. He never came home from school today and his family was very worried, but we located him at a friend’s house a little bit ago. We want to thank everyone who helped look for Thomas.

Despite some pretty heavy snow overnight (2”-to-3” between midnight at 5 a.m.) Ada County drivers did pretty well during Monday morning commute. Dispatch took reports of 12 vehicle crashes and 6 slide-offs. We've had much higher totals on similar days in the past.

Detectives and officers have interviewed residents and searched the area where Rory Pope was last seen for the last two days, so today's voluntary house searches are more intensive and thorough physical search of the properties, with teams of officers.

The ACSO dive team removed a set of male human remains from the Boise River earlier this morning by the Parkcenter Bridge near Walnut Street. It appears the body had been in the river for an extended period of time. There are no signs of any current threat to public safety.

The man hit one car while trying to evade deputies and ran over some lawns during the incident, which lasted for about an hour. The man, who abandoned his car near the Boise State campus and jumped into the Boise River to try to avoid capture, is now in custody.

It appears the Goose Fire is getting less active and likely won’t cross Seamans Gulch. Hill Road will remain closed to through traffic for a while but homeowners will be allowed back in soon. It also doesn’t appear any structures burned in the fire.
Eagle Police have identified and interviewed the suspect in connection with the battery of an elderly couple on the Greenbelt today. The case is still under investigation. No charges have been filed at this point. Thanks to everyone who provided tips. We greatly appreciate it.

Eagle Police are investigating a report of a body found on the bank of the Boise River just south of E. Whitby Lane. People recreating by the river around 6:40 pm detected a smell and found the body partially submerged in the water nearby.

The stolen car found in Lucky Peak earlier today is out of the water. Crews were able to pull it out. Investigators are now determining how it got there.
Star Police had an officer-involved shooting earlier this morning in the State Street/Star Road area. The officer involved was not injured. The case is still under active investigation. We will update when possible.
The 65-year-old man missing from Eagle has been found and is safe. Rick Allen Foster had made his way to Caldwell. Investigators are looking into how that happened. The man, who has the mental ability of a 10 yr old, was found in the lobby of the Caldwell Police Dept this morning

Update: An ACSO deputy who was seriously injured during an officer-involved shooting incident with a knife-wielding man on I-84 earlier this week remains hospitalized. He has undergone several surgeries and continues to recover.
