>"Trans women commit sexual crimes at the same rate as men!"
>"Violent crimes or poverty crimes?"
>"Huh?"
>"Are they violent crimes or arrested for sex work?"
>"They're very dangerous criminals, ma'am"
>Look inside
>They're poverty crimes
It's honestly sick that trans women arrested for sex work are portrayed as rapists for worthless TERF scum to use for their desperate handmaiden culture war
@CernochMatej
Yeah, people say "prostitution in the UK is legal!" But then all aspects of actually doing it are illegal, and when you're the group most likely to be impoverished, underemployed, unemployed, discriminated against openly with NO recourse, you get pushed there. Commonly.
To say nothing of course, about how the UK doesn't view rape as rape when a penis isn't involved-gee, I wonder why cys women don't get arrested for rape as much ๐ค๐ค๐ค must be the dangerous transes!
Get a life lmfao, rape is rape no matter who is doing it, and it's always bad
@KateronaBiscuit
THIS is why trans people push back on the idea that we aren't "real." Every single thing that someone HAS to point to to say "This is a woman," necessarily reduces them to little more than organs, and ALWAYS has exceptions. It's misogynistic, hateful, and small-minded.
"My son turned out fine"
Ma'am your *daughter* quivers at the slightest touch, intimate or not, and dreams about diffusing what 'self' she has nonetheless retained in the magic of a doll or the information throughout of a mech.
She will require maintenance. It's your fault.
@LeadingReport
So let me get this straight
Florida makes a Death penalty for sexual crimes against children. Okay, pedophiles are awful, most people can agree.
But then Florida also makes it a sexual crime against children if they see drag shows, are allowed to see information about sex/gender.
@ayyy_vuh
My thoughts on it is that it's a scam designed specifically to gather names and addresses of people who are trying to DIY HRT, as, at least as of earlier today, it doesn't appear the shop is connected to anything.
This info gathering is likely to be used for criminal reporting.
@JesseBarstow
@verysmallriver
@AlexandraErin
not far from the truth; tumblr was the place you'd go to post porn stuff, to post your porny creations, to talk frankly about things deemed offensive by the world at large, and it was like 80% of the platform that left or was banned because of it. The rest left.
@fe_paint
I guess it's a hot take nowadays to want allusions and idioms that make sense in English while capturing the spirit of the original text. Almost as if it were being brought here to this locality in a way that matches our language and culture
If only there was a word for that!๐ญ
"Abby, why... why is your trans girl romance starting with a top-down look at the logistics of import/export in a port city"
THIS IS THE ROMANCE, I'M FLIRTING WITH THE WORLDBUILDING AUTISTIC TRANS GIRLS OK
@TRyanGregory
30 years ago "healthy relationship standards" meant "He only beats me with an open palm and controls my life but gives me a couple choices" so I mean good fucking riddance
Puberty blockers were always part of a compromise position. You let trans kids explore before they go onto HRT, and if they decide not to continue, they simply stop taking them and proceed I to a delayed puberty.
Instead of delaying puberty, we'll start HRT as early as 11 ๐
@Hideki_Naganuma
I speak for everyone when I say that we would be most pleased if you were happy with who you are, whether that be trans or not, but only you can know who you really are.
@MarkaQuinn74
@lharley13
Bri'ish to 'Merican translation:
"It's cheaper to spend a night getting drunk on overpriced booze than to run the heat all night long"
@CernochMatej
That's not to say all prostitution or sex work is a poverty crime, sex work is work after all, but the people who get arrested for it are predominantly poorer, and at least in the US, predominantly trans women of color.
Just as with cya women arrested for prostitution.
Like I don't think cis people understand just how horrific it is, that republicans will deny our very existence to our face and promise to put us in faith-based death camps on national television
@monsterfucker09
I wouldn't say that, rape is a pretty fucked up thing to do and I don't think that's a poverty thing--in fact, I'd say that, given more opportunity, more resources, and less empathy, "well-to-do" people are likelier more dangerous.
@John_Salisbury
@TRyanGregory
yes in 1992, my dude we just got done with a court case where a woman fought against her abuser and the whole internet defended the abuser because he was a funny pirate man
@jheartney
@TRyanGregory
Like it ain't that hard, putting all that labor on someone else isn't right, and shit if you put in an effort but are BAD at it it's still more acceptable than "I know you go to work too, but when I get home I want dinner and the house clean while I sit and indulge my alcoholism"
@DokiDiscourse
@ContraPoints
Badly. Conservatives must abuse kids, that's how they groom them into conservatism. They need to force pain to then give them hope in religion.
This is their sickening culture. It should be erased.
@MathewNoKnowles
Damn I wish my parents fought for me even a quarter as much as Dwyane Wade fights for Zaya ๐ญ
ya'll being trans is tough when you got so many haters and didn't even do anything to earn hatred except exist, and many of us don't have family that fights for us, mostly it's against
@jheartney
@TRyanGregory
If you have to ask in the first place you aren't holding up your end of a relationship, you're hoping what worked for your father works for you and casting the work you do to support the family as the only work you need to do.
@wildlyunwieldy
Many prisons use trans women as sexual rewards for the most violent criminals to keep them in line. If they're taking a trans inmate, they're not shivving their fellow inmates.
It's called V-coding, and it's one of the many reasons to abolish prisons and police
@LeadingReport
They also make it a sexual crime against children if they are allowed to transition--gender affirming care saves lives, but Florida wants to execute people who save lives.
THEN they ALSO make it so juries don't need to be unanimous to give the death penalty.
@d_feldman
@elfsternberg
you have to realize that furries are basically the only thing that keeps tech running right now.
Piss off trans people and furries, and your society goes back to the iron age. '-'
@LilySimpson1312
might borrow "snow roach" tbh 'cause that's what these "western trad" accounts really are. Turn on the lights and they skitter into the cracks they came from.
@egregirls
as you can see, the christian must groom and abuse their children into obsequiousness, until they no longer view themselves as a victim, but an object to be owned. That's why these people want to "spot a homeschooler," because they know they have complete obedience to adults.
@Ixbran
@OnTheDownLoTho
@Sinisphere1
After fixing her village so it was OKAY for her to be a boy, she then found herself. At any point outside that village, Bridget could've decided to just be a guy if that's what she felt like. That doubt is endemic to trans identity, not knowing who you are.
@Esqueer_
The idea, of course, is to ERASE our language, like they tried and FAILED to do before. They attempted to say "I'm NOIT STRAIGHT, I'm NORMAL!!!!!" a thing, but they failed. Now they want to make "I'm not CIS, I'm NORMAL!!!" Because if there is no "cis" there can be no "Trans."
@MichellMcC73
Thank you so much for sharing. But please, don't bear any guilt. It was never your fault, the actions of a broken system that turns out pieces of filth like him, and ignores your plight, or worse, forces you to take the blame, it is NOT your fault. It never is or was.
@JizznyPrincess
TERFs are just like: "we are women because they are oppressed by men, not for any other reason"
it's literally just a regression from even second wave feminism
@CirceUnbound
@magpiekilljoy
Cis women who shave their head like you did, or who are tall, or wear slacks, all in danger from transphobic rhetoric, as they won't stop with us, they'll demand stereotypical femininity next. Glad to have you on our side.
@fayemikah
It's the same shit as when Christian society came up with "homosexual"
We started calling them "heterosexual," then they said "I'm not heterosexual, I'm normal!!!!"
@kristoferthomas
can confirm from the opposite side as a closeted trans girl in the men's locker room, throughout school and beyond. It made me feel so uncomfortable to the point of nausea and I almost didn't graduate because I got Fs in PE for "failing to dress out."
"my son turned out fine"
Ma'am your *daughter* is loving a triple life and trying desperately not to depersonalize while at the same time fantasizing about a butch who will throw her over her shoulder and call her "23601" while working a dog training clicker
Reminder that the right-wing vermin say "leave children alone" while beating their children near to death, letting their pastors rape them with impunity, and poisoning them with horse paste.
Conservatism is a disease, like rabies.
@AberlourSpey
@jheartney
@TRyanGregory
Especially now, when women ALSO work outside of the home too, have their own jobs, and have independence. The relationship is toiling away with the expectations of yesteryear in a time where it no longer fits. Growing pains are to be expected!
@John_Salisbury
@TRyanGregory
Like I need you to understand that in most of the country it was still effectively legal to beat your wife and kids as long as there's no blood because the cops won't investigate shit.
It's STILL legal to beat your kids, and some people complain about how it "instills discipline"
@AberlourSpey
@jheartney
@TRyanGregory
lol, yes I'm ok. It's just, the paradigm before makes men work themselves to death and puts all the emotional and household labor on their spouse, which isn't healthy for anyone!
@oneunderscore__
yes, it's one and the same, they know that the only way they can put LGBTQ+ people back in the closet is to ban children from the internet entirely, because the internet is the single greatest tool for information in the world.
With books banned and LGBTQ+ content blocked...
@jheartney
@TRyanGregory
And it's understandable, because it was simpler then, where he worked himself near to death and your mom took care of the rest, because that's what was expected of people, but nowadays everyone in the house works, supports the family, it's only natural to split house labor too.
@markpopham
I just don't understand it
like
why would anyone go to "Second Life, but so dramatically worse in every way that it loses every bit of the charm it has"
@judgementshae
I got an epilator, prepped my legs to use it, and then promptly hurt myself with it in a way that left me, uh, excited, but entirely unsatisfied.
I had to do the other leg even though it wasn't ready and it stopped being 'pleasurepain' and turned into 'just pain'
@John_Salisbury
@TRyanGregory
So yes, in 1992, and in 2002, and in 2012, and in 2022, where abused -- typically (but not always) women -- are afraid to leave their homes because they have nowhere to go, or nowhere to live, or noone to help them escape, and will remain in abusive relationships.
The thing is, "Don't buy this product" is not a movement.
It's a bare minimum thing. "Hey, don't buy Chik-fil-A," isn't me pressuring you not to buy chik-fil-a, it's asking you, as an ally, to buy an alternative. It's not me calling you a bigot for wanting Chik-fil-A.
@LilySimpson1312
Dwyane Wade's full-throated defense of Zaya in the face of so much hate is also fucking amazing, he deserves to be on the full list too
@Ixbran
@OnTheDownLoTho
@Sinisphere1
It's understandable, but you have to remember that intersex people also go through this; gender identity is not something that is shaped or 'raised' into, you'll always feel a disconnect if it's not right for you. In this case, Bridget's reason for doing everything is denial.
@itsnotpap
I got my ass beat all the time and I turned out fine*!
*going through life without a proper parental figure unable to ask for help or trust anyone even though I kind of need both but it took 30 years to actually even realize that's what was wrong
@Ixbran
@OnTheDownLoTho
@Sinisphere1
The thing is, Bridget always seemed to like dressing in girls' clothes. She always seemed to like girlish things. At any point, even as a girl, if she liked boyish things she could've done those.
AS a bounty hunter, with that freedom, she could've branched out!
@maidensblade
It's almost as if we were being shut out of opportunity, routinely chased out of community, overtly sabotaged on larks by oppressors who, having experienced oppression, should know better, and then blamed for our own victimization by accusing us of being the oppressors or dangers
@TrevorACourtney
@RepThomasMassie
Yeah, there's just one problem: paying for food stamps actually has a multiplier effect, such that $1 in foodstamps actually increases economic activity by almost $2. When Red states add a bunch of restrictions, they actually lose about twice what it costs, to say nothing of --
@Esqueer_
So her regret isn't based on any problems, it's all based in her LSD-laced Christian faith?
Girl is so cooked, this lawsuit must be a way to launder the "sue for regret" ideal into case law
They want to torture us to death.
They're saying so. They don't use the word "torture" but "faith-based solution" to "the transgender problem" is exactly what conversion therapy always has been.
Electrocution, bloodletting, beating, whipping, corrective rape.
Until we recant.
@Ixbran
@OnTheDownLoTho
@Sinisphere1
And now she's realized that she didn't because she didn't want to -- she was always a girl. Not because someone else told her, but because she decided it without even realizing it. Here she is coming out and being who she is!
@John_Salisbury
@TRyanGregory
Don't leave a visible bruise? It's like nothing ever happened.
And these abusers know they'll be defended by the world at large STILL.
@Chican3ry
These right-wingers need to pay. This is preventable, these killings, those suicides, it was all preventable and yet it was purposely visited upon them.
They need to pay.
don't mind me, just prepping to flood England with so much fucking estradiol that it washes away the literal sewage being dumped from the beaches into the water
DIY HRT is always morally correct: if someone tries to stop you from getting it, self-defense is also morally correct.
@lizzo
yeah it's pretty bad. I moved literally across country, and I can't even safely return to see my family because Florida is considering taking children away if they are even exposed to trans people.
If I take my nephew and nieces out to lunch, Florida could take custody of them.
@ayyy_vuh
Since the majority of people who DIY HRT are going to likely live in states where we're currently fighting bills that CRIMINALIZE this care, that information can be used to report and then launch criminal probes via Child Protective Services.
@KateronaBiscuit
Dealing with gender dysphoria sucks! But there are an infinite number of ways to express yourself, and many of them get you harassed and hated. There's stories of non-conforming women getting dragged out of bathrooms, beaten and arrested because they think she's trans!
I wanna commission an artist but I'm looking for different styles. I have 9 characters needing illustration and will probably pay for one at a time. Anyone have some good illustrator recs?
They're the ones that want to ban puberty blockers, and the only reason trans kids aren't going on HRT earlier is because puberty blockers are available.
But if you ban them, well just start them on HRT.
Hey, it's bad to "stop" puberty, right?
@NotoriousAdamP
@CNN
@donie
Hatred is always a cult. By its very existence, it pushes people away. People you care about, and who care about you, people who might be able to help. Friends, family. Everyone.
And then when all you have is that hate, it just grows in intensity.
@Yupsofox
What if a sheltered princess from the surface went out to discover the universe only to fall in love with a lesbian bounty hunter in space, helping her repair her ancient somehow-still-running cutter, naively believing she can fix the woman on a 'one way trip?'
@Ixbran
@OnTheDownLoTho
@Sinisphere1
For instance, I knew I was trans at 4 years old!
I joined the military in part to "prove" that I wasn't.
Eventually I couldn't pretend I wasn't a girl anymore, and started my transition. This is a pretty normal thing for trans people to go through.
@maidensblade
Yeah... As it turns out, trans girls are so bereft of support from the community and resources for LGBTQ+ people that we are legitimately a rounding error
@TouchMyTeapot
No we aren't. I'm considering arming myself because with the accusations the right-wingers are throwing around, increased violence comes next.
This literally, "Oh, the women in your stories have inner monologue and consciousness? Is that because you see yourself in her?" ๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฃ
@The_Weed
Yup... Tested 99th percentile on math and reading in 4th grade compared with high school seniors then proceeded to not be able to capitalize on it. Could never do my homework. Would nearly fail classes because 'organization' was a huge part of my grade. Then being trans w/ PE...
@DragonLova
@LiteralGrill
Well the arresting officer thinks that a woman showing her ankles is prurient interest, and arrests her. She was wearing Capri pants. Technically pants, which are men's clothes.
Ergo, she was doing drag for a.prurient interest. She loses her kid because she's a felon now.
@ithayla
Is rainbolt one of those guys that's incredibly good at geoguesser, because those people will FIND YOU based on the position of shadows cast upon the road, letting them gauge the distance between the lines of a median, and the way your light poles look
@diannaeanderson
@transscribe
I believe you're right. When I went to report this it was asking me for the name of someone specific though and I stopped.
