@ShitpostRock It’s cute, but it doesn’t represent what I like about Star Wars either. The “Lucas” era wasn’t perfect, though it was exponentially better than Disney. The OT era, with its cool faux-military hardware and gritty tone, was what was peak but I never loved the pop culture aspect.

@Retrogamebrews Halo. Not huge into FPS games, but I did like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. When I heard that Halo was THE console FPS, I expected objective-driven missions in interesting locales. Instead, the whole game was just shooting things in open fields or samey, cramped hallways.

@Gambit77846994 @BENZOTOOIE The Acolyte could be Citizen Kane for all I care, its chanting lesbian space witches written with all the nuance of a Dostoevsky protagonist. It wouldn’t change the fact that Disney has desecrated the series and twisted it into something unrecognizable and irredeemable.
