@EVhombre @MailOnline The NIH has a like $25B budget and sent $600k to the Wuhan lab. I don't see that as a problem, I'm sure that facility wouldn't continued the research. It's not illegal to downplay a theory.

@RBehiel @hankgreen You have the right to a jury trial. The whole "negative rights" thing is just a smoke screen. It's not "constructive". It's carrying water for people that are intentionally muddying the water. Our rights are what we say they are.

@SiaKordestani It's a protest tactic. They chanted similar slogans at other businesses along their route. Silence is complicity. If you've seen the videos of Gazans starving and you're concerned about a chant at a hospital I think you need to do some soul searching.

@EVhombre @MailOnline The grant strictly stated the money couldn't be used for GoF and while the research summaries detail what some scientists say is GoF some disagree. It's very hard to pin that on a hit who has nothing to do with the grant:

@RBehiel @hankgreen All language is "wordplay". I think it's naive or paternalistic to think there's some truly objective way to discuss policy. You're playing the game with a hand tied behind your back and i promise the people who use terms like "free markets" aren't.

@RBehiel @hankgreen The rhetoric we use empowers solutions. There are actors that aren't well intentioned here. Anyone out there convincing people the Constitution is somehow just about negative rights for example. When you frame something as a right it takes on a political salience.
