The London Stadium has seen some fine individual performances its inception, but perhaps there is none better than

’s solo run from 15 yards inside his own half.
Watch and listen as the excitement builds to a crescendo & climax. 🔈🆙

I’d lay off her. She was the only woman out of 400 ⚽️ agents in France when she qualified 15 years ago. Put yourself in her shoes. We have no idea what was going on at the time. A picture like that without context is meaningless. Don’t become part of the problem.
What a bunch of knobs who replied to this tweet saying replying it’s no great loss. And/or then pointing to certain errors. Or that he can’t make the starting XI.
He’s a human being for God’s sake. And he still a West Ham player. One of our own. Got hurt in service to the club.
@JKCorden
I wouldn't be, James. Pellegrini and his wife were robbed at gunpoint at the end of May; his wife and sons remained behind in Chile as the Gaffer arrived at WHU in late June. Understandable that he wants to reconnect and provide psychological assurance to his wife and family.
@WestHam
OG really wasn’t his fault. Son would’ve tapped it in anyway. Great ball recoveries, excellent 1:1 duels, and outstanding progressive passing through the lines.
My MOTM.

Anderson: Great first touch with vision to anticipate the push into space before the ball arrives and the smarts to cut into the defender’s path so he can only foul to stop the play. Which won’t happen because he is the last defender.
@WestHam_Central
Thanks for posting. Body language reveals so much more than words in times like this. He handled himself well under pressure. That smile when asked about West Ham says it all.
@RealTalkMCFC
West Ham as you know is Manchester City’s sister club in the Prem. Great camaraderie between our fans. Even before Pellegrini. He is just icing on the cake.
Not going to let what others might think of
@WestHamUtd
the day after Burnley stop me from showing my support for the club. Wearing my kit publicly and proudly this Sunday here in Northern California.

Thank you to you and Sullivan for letting your staff do their jobs effectively. If you are to be criticized at times, then there must be times where you are to be praised as well. This is one of those times. I wish you the best of health.
Even better news for 🇺🇸 viewers - West Ham vs Angers is being streamed live on WatchESPN/ESPN3/ESPN Desportes this Friday August 3rd at 12:30PM EST/9:30AM PST. Replay available.
Reminder Mainz tomorrow on WatchESPN/ESPN3 at same time as above

This is a must watch. One of the best video segments the club has produced. It surprised me how emotional I became. Tears streaming. From the lows of Anfield to the highs of West Ham United bringing joy to an individual who sacrificed his limbs for the sake of the country.

Not if you’re in the United States, or any other country outside of the UK. Not the best way to build a global brand.

Angelo, I appreciate your effort & commitment to stay in the game, but clearly you were affected by the injury. By remaining in the game & only playing at 75% you only hurt your teammates. Going forward, it would be helpful if you communicated if you’re not able to play at 100%.

@ExWHUemployee
From the “Just Sayin’” dept: Zaba would make an extremely effective CDM. Breaks up play well, still has engine 4 pos which arguably requires less exertion than RWB, sound technically. If Ox recalled, could slot 2 RB/WB where he’s been playing 4 BMG.
@WestHam
It’s defense that can win games, and we should be highlighting Fabiański’s outstanding save, deflecting the ball onto the post, which was so important to our result.
It denied Norwich momentum and allowed us to counter at 1-0 in the latter stages of the game.

Here in the SF Bay Area wearing my West Ham travel outfit top and bottom today. A bloke coming into the grocery store as I’m leaving says “Hammers“. ⚒️ awareness growing in 🇺🇸. Cool.
@GuvnaB
Guvna, could you help us with some of the slang here? I see that abonten means “outside“. Is is understood as a reference to an expatriate Ghanaian community? And what does “do doof“ mean? Thanks.
This is not a wind up.
I would rather have
@Noble16Mark
as an interim player-coach, then I would Moyes or Houghton. The players respect Mark, and given his love for the club and footballing acumen, I have no doubt he would do an outstanding job as a caretaker manager.
@karren_brady
Karren, I respect your support for women, but the content of your article is pure hypocrisy. You hired a manager at West Ham who was recorded with similar sexist “banter”. I didn’t hear your outrage at that moment.
Song to the tune of “When the Saints Go Marching In“ when Declan Rice strips the ball from an opponent:

Fascinating interview. Her English is terrific, & she’s smart & savvy.
Put yourself in her shoes, and her steely stare on the ✈️ comes into focus. Tough as nails.
Sorry to bang on about this, but I’m absolutely in awe with Dinos’ performance this evening. You don’t have to be flashy to be a great defender. Make great decisions, remain poised, and be strong when you need to be.

One of the best investments the club could make the season is to dedicate funding for Spanish tutoring for our players who don’t speak Spanish. It would play dividends in a variety of ways. Welcome, Matias. Glad you’re here.

The problem here, which Melanie addresses, is that Fabrizio has identified the player’s agent in previous photos showing Steidten on the plane with the incoming West Ham player. He didn’t do it in this photo. It belittles the role of female football agents, & women professionals.
Me, an American in London in 1971. The year I became a West Ham fan. Bobby Moore. Clyde Best.
Taken in our backyard in Highgate in my Highgate Wood Comprehensive uniform.
The school symbol always looked like a swastika to me...
Getting back to the game, one of the big positives West Ham can take away from their performance is how incredibly well organized they were behind the ball. Their transition from attack to a defensive shape was incredibly impressive. Quick, well organized, hard to break down.
Antonio’s hold up play last night was outstanding. He worked his socks off and was physical in every challenge and every 50-50 ball. I don’t see him getting a lot of props on my timeline. His involvement was immense.
@nobleart16
I heard on my commentary in the US that some fans were leaving after the disallowed Leeds goal around the 86th minute. If that’s the case it’s inexcusable. True fans stay until the end and support the team. The game was far from over at that point.

Shit year for me. 2024 can only be better. My mother passed away in October after three months of hospice and her not doing well for the first half of 2023. And in June I made the decision to resign from my job after years of support requests not being met. One highlight though:
I’m keeping this pinned tweet in honor of Manu for a while. What a wonderful person and great family. In his early years here he did so much for us. Never whinged. Such a shame the injury came about but I wish him the best in his native Argentina.
