if you plan to progressively decentralize
don't start as a fake DAO
start as a normal company or non-profit and use that structure until you figure out how you want the DAO to work
The takes about Bogota being a bad place to host Devcon are extremely cringe.
Do you not realize that Latin America is one of the most important markets for crypto adoption?
Or do you realize this but think everyone should stay in their ivory towers?
No charitable explanation
if I haven't voted on your
@arbitrum
STIP proposal
1. reply to this tweet
2. follow me
3. dm me why i should vote for your proposal
(this is in no way a guarantee of a vote, i take this stuff very seriously)
Let me be clear that my personal goals for Ethereum are for the network to replace the international banking system as the primary global settlement layer and for ETH to replace the dollar as the primary global unit of account
Which means my time horizon is 10+ years
if we judging DAOs by the level of thought and effort put into their design and technical execution
then
@arbitrum
is the greatest DAO of all time and it's not close
the future of DAOs is on-chain
and yet, there remain many challenges to scale on-chain governance
- delegation
- progressive decentralization
- voting privacy
- identity
- transaction cost
who wants to tackle these challenges with me?
the early career DAO folks trying to make a career out of governance remind me of my undergrad business school classmates trying to work in "strategy"
this is backwards
go get a real skill (dev, bd, community, mech design, etc.) and then leverage that to earn governance power
i'd like to officially offer everyone on here claiming that it's easy to build and maintain the Uniswap front end a volunteer support internship at Tally during which you will find out just how easy it is to build and maintain a popular web3 application
People on here said DAOs were dead throughout the bear market
Meanwhile, almost every market-leading crypto product either is a DAO or will be one soon
Solid analysis as usual 🫡
there is so much talent contributing to the
@arbitrum
DAO
not just as service providers and delegates, but as leaders establishing frameworks for the DAO itself to operate
@MiniNooby
crushing multiple huge initiatives simultaneously is really hard to do, even (and perhaps especially) in large companies
they are crushing
- Base
- Policy/PR
- International derivatives offering
and probably more
Yesterday's volume on Arbitrum hit an all time high, at $1,115,140,278. 🔷
Which makes Arbitrum the first L2 to cross a billion in daily volume on Uniswap. 🫡
@CryptoDonAlt
When Richard took over a billion dollars from his community to create a simple fork of Ethereum, HEX was split into eHEX (HEX on Ethereum) and pHEX (HEX on PulseChain) and users received both

i know this is going to sound crazy to some of y'all
but you can literally use Arbitrum and Optimism instead of L1 if you don't want to pay gas
they have all the apps there
and decent liquidity too
I’m cool with everyone who is here purely to make money, but that’s not me.
I’m here to be part of something great.
I’m here to contribute to the most important technological and social movement of our generation.
I’m here to have fun.
I’m here to do something really hard

to introduce the onchain world to multichain governance!

I'm registered as a Wormhole DAO delegate and would be honored to receive your delegation.
I'm a core contributor to the MultiGov system that powers Wormhole governance. I have a strong understanding of Wormhole tech and the Wormhole community. I've been working full-time on

Delegation Week is about being open.
It's about creating an open platform for the entire governance ecosystem to participate.
We believe in reducing/avoiding dependence on any one entity. We want the entire ecosystem to thrive.
Everyone is burned out from fake partnerships (e.g. Polygon is partnered with Disney b/c they are attending a Disney accelerator).
Which means most do not yet understand that the Reddit/Arbitrum thing is the real deal
Don't even ask the question. The answer is yes, it's priced in. Think Amazon will beat the next earnings? That's already been priced in. You work at the drive thru for Mickey D's and found out that the burgers are made of human meat? Priced in. The market is an all powerful, all
$2B worth of ARB (10.76% of total supply) gets unlocked in 24 days
first unlock since the initial airdrop and it will double the current circulating supply of $ARB
is this bullish or bearish for Arbitrum?
so glad we took 500M of our liquid capital as an ecosystem and locked it up in a multisig that doesn't do anything
that's so great and helpful for this next phase of the market cycle thanks everyone great job
I'm seeking delegations in two amazing

ecosystem DAOs that launched this year:
@open_dollar
and
@letsgethai
My delegate platform is focused on driving TVL growth without trading off on decentralization. If you have governance tokens, please consider delegating
just lettin y'all know that

proposals include advanced features like no-code transfers, MEV-protected swaps, drafts, and transaction simulation

probably spicy take
saying you are "non-technical" in web3 is massive self-own. do the work. learn how the smart contracts and consensus mechanisms work. don't need to be Vitalik, but you should at least make an effort.
cheers 😊
If you're considering voting for me in the Arbitrum Security Council Election, please vote for Tally's CTO
@rafaelsolari
instead.🙏
Raf is a better fit for the technical requirements of the role.
Tally vs. the competition
EVM compatible: u don't even know how many EVM chains we support
cheaper gas: pls dear god use Tally's gasless feature or launch your DAO on a (preferably real) L2
native yield: pass a proposal to fund yourself king
shares gas revenue: pass a
FYI for the homies
@tallyxyz
supports the Governor smart contract primitive, which has become the standard for onchain governance.
DAOs use Governor because it enables communities to own protocols and treasury funds. Governor proposals are secure, censorship-resistant, and
If you happen to find yourself in possession of $ARB tokens next week, I'm running as a delegate and I would be honored to be trusted with your delegation!
@anon75374998
The $OP token does not give token holders any claim on cash flows. Doesn't give token holders a claim on anything, really.
The equity on the other hand...
I suspect most would agree that delegates should get paid. The tricky part is how to pay them.
Delegates voting to pay themselves could lead to governance capture, thus removing the incentive to work that the compensation was designed to create in the first place.
why, you ask?
1. venue not a cattle sales floor under the highway
2. venue close to airport
3. better weather
4. better food
5. better entertainment
6. better outdoor adventure access (yes, this is true)
7. cheaper in every way
8. more flights

Y’all pay way too much attention to short term price and not enough attention to the tech
EIP 4844, Uniswap v4, and Eigenlayer each have the potential to ignite a new bull market all on their own
IMO the Arbitrum gaming proposal is fine.
Understanding it requires context:
- The Arbitrum DAO has a uniquely high amount of the token supply in the DAO treasury (as opposed to Foundation, etc.)
- Gaming is doing extremely well on Arbitrum. It has way more traction than the
Need more of y'all to vote lol
In all seriousness, AIP-1.2 does an excellent job incorporating the community feedback from AIP-1 by clarifying the control the DAO has over the Foundation. I'm excited to ratify the Arbitrum DAO constitution and set the stage for what's ahead.
Thoughtful onchain governance isn’t about reducing regulatory risk.
It’s not about reducing security risk either.
It’s about growth, customer retention, and expansion. Thoughtful onchain governance is the strongest possible signal of legitimacy. It attracts customers and

The Arbitrum DAO is heating up 🔥
As a delegate, I'm looking for proposals to sponsor.
This proposal from

is a good example of something I'd support because it adds specific, concrete value to the DAO.
