Mbare is especially muddy these days. If you are brave enough to visit, you will need a pair of gumboots. Vendors selling these close to parking spaces for US$3 per pair or US$5 if you are driving a car. Tomatoes are going for US$3.50 per box. US$4 if you r wearing fancy clothes.

BYD Seagul is an electric vehicle that costs less than US$10 000. It's about the size of a Toyota Vitz. A full battery is 30 units (US$8 using ZESA's most expensive tariff band) and gives you about 305 KM range. The home charger charges at 6.6 units an hour i.e 5 hours to fill up

RIP Soul Sip. Varun made the decision to kill Soul Sip due to low sales. This dilutable cordial courtesy of Pepsi Co was supposed to compete with Mazoe. Varun used price penetration. The drink was sold for a heavily discounted US$1.20. The taste was excellent.
