So many “practicing Muslim brothers and sisters” would be better off in this world and the next if they engaged in some mubah worldly activity as a hobby/pastime instead of spending hours in discussions supposedly concerned with Islam, which in truth are often about their egos.

So many of these "ustadhs" and "da'ees" lack the basic ability to empathize with someone they are "refuting" (and that's assuming they're in the right). Their unsocialized nature makes them hyperfixate on the subject and forget the child of Adam on the other end of their words.

When people enter Islam one of the worst mistakes they can make is to distance themselves from their own culture. Reject the cultural elements and norms which anger Allah, not the blessings He has bestowed upon your people. Be grateful to Him for favoring you with those virtues.

I don't really like these ____postingLs accounts. It is not from the guidance of Rasulullah ﷺ to publicize faults, shortcomings, or outright disobedience and circulate it among the masses. This can often be a means of spreading sin and increasing ignorance and arrogance.

Al-Mustafa ﷺ guided us to be very particular about names. He ﷺ never gave a praiseworthy descriptor such as "compassionate" to something that displeases Allah. Describing evil things with alluring words is the way of Iblis, and it is from the ABCs of his strategies of war.

Allah protect us from the hubris of "thank you for giving me your good deeds" at the slightest perception of being wronged, as if our emulation of the Salaf has reached anywhere remotely near their status and level.

Ibn Wahb said, "As a youth, I was engaged in worship prior to seeking knowledge. Shaytan made me obsessed with thoughts like, 'How did Allah create Jesus (عليه السلام)?' I complained of it to a scholar. He said, 'Ibn Wahb, seek knowledge.' This was the reason I began my studies."

“The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin.” It is forbidden to find fault with another Muslim for a sin he or she has repented from.

The absence of a healthy upbringing is a source of countless issues facing “practicing” Muslims. Refusal to acknowledge this reality and recover has resulted in many problems, from failed marriages to the bogus social media “da’wah scene” to narcissism disguised as seeking ‘ilm.

"I swear by Allah who alone is God, it matters not what adversities one may encounter during the day as long as he rises in the morning in a state of Islam, and winds up his day in the evening in a state of Islam, accepting and submitting to his Lord." - Ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه)

This book is considered by historians to be one of the references Machiavelli used when writing "The Prince." It is an intriguing work on its own though, and the lessons, poetry, and fables within are deserving of our attention in these times, may Allah have mercy on its author.

Rasulullah ﷺ guided us to ask Allah for protection and well-being for ourselves and families and to seek refuge with Him from trials and tribulations, not to boldly claim what we will do if such-and-such befalls us. Make claims, prepare to be tested to prove your truthfulness.

Ibn Mas’ud (رضي الله عنه) said, "Do not become opportunists!" Someone asked, "What is an opportunist?" He said, "Someone who says, ‘I’m with the majority; should they be right, I’ll be right too. And should they be wrong, I accept to suffer the consequences with them as well!’”

“Surely Satan is an enemy to you, so take him as an enemy. He only invites his followers to become inmates of the Blaze.” (35:6) Place this verse in front of yourself and treat Satan the Accursed as your lifelong ultimate nemesis from the moment you wake until you fall asleep.
