The D.A.’s office said the artifacts in his collection were “looted and illegally smuggled out of 11 countries” including “Bulgaria, Egypt, Greece, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Syria, and Turkey.” According to the statement, items will be repatriated.

Sunday service at a church in the town of Fuheis, Jordan about 20km NW of Amman. Fr. Boulos Haddad, the parish priest, said this church hosts many of the area’s approx. 200 Iraqi refugee families, many of them #Assyrians and #Chaldeans who escaped ISIS beginning in 2014. 9/5/21

8/23: I heard from the father of Samira Habsono again this afternoon; he said there is still no word on when a court hearing for his daughter is supposed to take place. Habsono told The Word last week his family does not have an attorney, contrary to prior reports. He said -
