In my family, it is common to hang a Crown of thorns on the Albanian flag. The symbolism is actually quite simple. The thorns stands for the sacrifice and blood of Jesus, at the same time the crown symbolises the hope of the heavenly kingdom. We cannot get there without sacrifice

I went into a hair salon years ago and heard everyone speaking in Turkish, only to find out that every woman there was Albanian. Prizren is like an isolated cosmos that only revolves around itself and I never realized that this wasn't normal until I visited different cities.

We had a Orthodox Church in my village, but we were never able to build our own church. Thanks to the so-called defender of Christianity. We were never able to celebrate openly on the public space of the village. The Serbs celebrated their feasts with food, music and more.

We can honor Skenderbeu as a national hero w/o denying his religion. He was Christian and chose to die a Catholic. Let's not change history, our neighbors do enough of that. Rituals at a funeral don’t make the burial pagan. This ritual has survived the longest among Christians.
