Hard to believe somewhere like this is real. I spent a few days waiting for the perfect light at this spot. The light in this shot had a few things going for it. First the trees are so tall the upper branches create a great dapple. Second, there was some high up fog (not visible

The photo locations in Iceland are only outdone by the weather. With some careful balancing on a wet rock, I was able to use Arsenal to compose the shot and smart mode to balance long exposure water and a somewhat shaky tripod. #witharsenal

Being close to Glacier National Park has its advantages. One of my favorite shots from the past few years. I’ve spent a few years learning how to read the weather to predict when fog like this will happen. But at the end of the day, a lot of it comes down to luck (and patience).
