Downtown Chicago is, for intents and purposes, burning. Four people shot in a matter of hours between The Bean and State/Adams. Indignant, emboldened and incorrigible violent criminals carelessly shooting into crowds in front of police. Pay attention to how local media covers it.

One of the hardest days I have ever had. On this job and otherwise. An off duty commander who heard his troops in need of help and didn’t hesitate for a fucking moment. The true essence of a hero.

Four years ago today, a city fell to its knees. We didn't just lose a dear friend at the CPD, we lost a symbol of Chicago. We haven't forgotten Commander Paul Bauer and we never will.

In Cook County this homeowner would be expeditiously charged with aggravated battery, a violent felony. As for porch pirate, the CCSAO would deny felony charges and the porch pirate would be left with a misdemeanor attempt-theft charge. The consequence would be non-existent.

This is a lie. I have been using this account to point to the willful failures and miscarriages of justice at the hands of the Cook County State’s Attorney Office for years now. I have exclaimed for years that their obsession with reform and progressive justice makes us less safe

This fucking joke of a police officer should be terminated immediately. That the fuck is more important than an officer needing help apprehending a forcible felon? FUCK you, 699. You are a police impersonator. If you work in 006 and do a THING for this idiot, you’re a fool.

LISTEN: 5241-Boy went over the air for a man wanted for a robbery. 699 (6th district lieutenant) immediately declined the request for assistance because there was apparently too much going on. Eventually, the detective was able to apprehend the wanted robbery offender. 5241,

Six people shot, including a toddler, on a metropolitan highway—and I’m still hearing about how important it is to save these communities from these occupational evil police forces and discriminatory prosecutions. Unreal. Absolutely tone deaf. This election is huge.

Chicago police detectives, evidence technicians, homicide support teams of different kinds, and even some patrol officers all played into the investigation and ultimately timely apprehension of two people who murdered an 8 year old today. They will remain faceless and nameless,

Yo, 1000.. SHUT THE FUCK UP. We have an open air 10-1 in a neighboring district, ZERO offender information, shots potentially still being fired and officers ON SCENE trying to relay updates. Nobody GIVES A FUCK that you’re in route. EVERYONE IS. Get a fucking clue my GOD.

Just your typical Tuesday night 8-12 people shot in one incident inside a park in a major urban American city in 2022. Something slight. Nothing crazy. What we really need is more police accountability around here. A stricter foot pursuit policy maybe? Or end qualified immunity?

I won’t even waste my time or effort trying to forward the reality that this will be Chicago’s first real chance in a long time to right the ship and get serious about safety. It won’t matter. The deal is done. He’s Preckwinkle’s pick. It’s over. Why even have the election? Sad

"I would absolutely appreciate Kim Foxx's endorsement." Let Mr. Harris' words be seared into your memory, for they are an implicit admission he intends to proceed with and broaden Kim Foxx's disastrous pro-criminal policies. Chicago needs a prosecutor, not a third Foxx term.

Ja’Mal Green blanketedly referring to the Chicago Police Department in its entirety as “white supremacists”, I’d love to know what the wonderful black officers I work with would think of that. He goes on to cite settlement numbers. Perhaps the city attorneys hand them out freely?

I don’t find it antithetical to my existence as a police officer to support some additional common sense reform to gun legislation. I can live with that. However, where I live, in Cook County? We need ENFORCEMENT reform. If courts ENFORCED our gun laws, people would be safer.

I don’t think a lot of people know this, but the US Army actually has a program that sends combat medics to work in the trauma unit at Cook County Hospital as part of their training. It’s the best place for them to be exposed to gunshot wounds and combat-esque trauma.

I think the absolutely seismic increase in violent street robberies of ordinary citizens this year has maybe been the best reflection of how emboldened and enabled criminals feel in this city. Criminals have never had it easier, and we keep enacting MORE policy in their favor.

For reference: American law enforcement officers are 54% more likely to die by suicide than the general population. CHICAGO police officers are 60% more likely than other American police officers to die by suicide. This constitutes a crisis in every sense of the word.

If l stopped by the police they can make you exit a car. They don’t need a reason to make you exit. If you’re in a car that’s being stopped, you can be ordered out. You don’t “know your rights.” You’re an idiot. The law is Pennsylvania v Mimms. Look it up. Read it. Learn it.

Just your semi-monthly reminder that NYPD, LAPD, and Philly PD do not place residency restrictions on their police officers—and conversely they do not seem to be in the midst of a recruitment and retention crisis to the scary degree that the Chicago Police Department is.

Everyday there’s videos perfectly documenting how emboldened criminals are in Chicago and how bad things have gotten. Every day there’s videos like this that show our approach isn’t working. Why do videos like this not change anyone’s minds? Who wants this? This is our culture?

It’s crazy how prettified with fear they are of those evil, militant, occupying, horrible police officers that stop them for no reason and make their life hell. Poor kids. Look, you can see the fear in their eyes and hear it in their voices. They’re terrified of the police!

First order of business as mayor? Equate an esteemed, highly educated public servant killed in shootout with armed carjackers to a kid who shot at people and then ran from the police while remaining armed. Got it. I’m sure Officer Preston’s parents appreciate the comparison.
